'Y&R' fans need to know how Adam killed AJ

Many fans of The Young and the Restless correctly guessed that it was 11 year old Adam Neman who murdered AJ Montalvo decades ago in Kansas. What viewers do not know is how the deed was done. Victor first told Nikki the truth then she relayed the story to Victoria who went straight to Alyssa. Vicki found out her father had already bern there and told the story to Ms. Montalvo. Not once during any of these exchanges were any specifics given. The only detail that Victor divulged to his son was that AJ died in the house and a caretaker named George moved the body out to the barn. Viewers are wondering what Adam could have done at that tender age to take the life of another human being?

The fact that Alyssa’s dad was an adult and Adam a child makes this even more puzzling. Did Adam hit AJ over the head with some type of object, or shove him and cause Montalvo to fall and strike his head? A coroner would have noticed that the injuries were not consistent with a fall from the barn loft so did Victor pay the medical examiner to lie? Adam has absolutely no memory of that date and believers his father and sister made the story up just to make him look bad. Chelsea, however, seems like she is open to the possibility that her baby daddy could have taken a life. It's probable that now that he knows what took place, he may begin having flashbacks.

A few weeks back various spoiler alerts said that Adam's plan to take down Victor would backfire and he would need to lean heavily on Chelsea. If Adam eventually recalls the sordid truth it will probably shock him and this is why Ms. Lawson is going to have to be strong for him. Earlier spoilers indicated that Victor’s youngest son will need to lean on his ex wife and remembering he killed a man will be traumatic. He might even believe that it’s his fault that his own son Conner had been acting out.

Chelsea will also probably be instrumental in helping her once and future husband come to terms with what has happened. Adam has always had a chip on his shoulder and played the victim card. It will be difficult for him to accept that he alone is responsible for the death of AJ Montalvo and cannot blame it on anyone else. After all he has done to lash out at his father and siblings, Adam will be distraught to realize Victor was correct. Without Newman Enterprises as his main focus, the prodigal son will be forced to move on with his life and go in a different direction.

At first spoilers predicted that it was Hope who was being protected, but now we know it was Adam. There must be a reason that The Young and the Restless has not given the specifics, but fans want the entire story. Some wonder if it was an accident or if Adam has been a bad seed since birth? However this plays out, Adam will have to acknowledge something that he will find hard to believe. He will come to the realization that Victor does love him and was protecting him all this time. The Newman patriarch was willing to kick Victoria to the curb and allow his second son to run his business, just to be able to continue to keep the truth hidden. On Wednesday, he fired Adam and said that Victoria would be reinstated.

In the real world, a major corporation that had three different CEO's in a matter of weeks would lose credibility and the stock would take a nose dive. Newman Enterprises will go on without missing a beat, until the founder decides to play one of his wacky tricks with his children again. Now that the truth is out, Adam has lost a bit of his steam. When he realizes for himself that what his father said is a fact, it will tear him apart. What will he do when he does not have a leg to stand on and is ashamed of his past deeds? His entire adult life has been about besting his father and half siblings but now everything has changed.

During the week of April 27-May 1st The Young and the Restless will be airing episodes each day that feature Katherine Chancellor. The program had run out of new episodes and there is no indication of when original programming will resume. Be on the lookout for updates and by all means enjoy the flashback episodes.
