X Users React To The Chaos Of “The Roast Of Kevin Hart”: “That Roast Was Toxic As Sh*t”
The Rock, Lizzo, and even Katt Williams joined in on the roast

So multiple figures across comedy, music, and television writing flamed Kevin Hart. On the day the Philadelphia native’s team along with the house band The Roots suffered a crushing blow with the Sixers being swept by the New York Knicks, celebrities uttered torrid words. Two men known for their athletic prowess opened and closed the roasting session. The finale saw of course a grand entrance and his name is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. But the first one to burn Hart consisted of a seven-time Super Bowl winner named Tom Brady.
Why did this white boy get this much attention? He’s one of the producers of the Netflix special. And he brought the heat to Hart. He mentioned Hart’s infidelities. Of course the short jokes happened with just the camera work showing Brady’s six-foot-four -inch frame against Hart’s five feet and five inches. But the blistering words announced by Brady captured most of the headlines even though he had not been on the dais.
His takedown of Hart almost felt like a physical blow to the comedian and actor. Brady’s scathing comments kicked off the show which had hot lines one after the other tossed back and forth among the figures.
Fiery barbs from the three white men on the panel came from those with the biggest stature. Brady and Johnson had the most lava language for Hart. But white boys like Roastmaster Jeff Ross, Shane Gillis, and Brady seemed to corral the event. It was as if the proceedings were too black. A white woman on the panel, Chelsea Handler, seemed to be out of sorts but still provided the right amount of sting.
The settling of the feud between Hart and Katt Williams appeared to be the most poignant moment of the night. Let’s see if their friendship lasts at all. The two diminutive comics sure had a past, especially at the expense of Diddy and his waywardness.
Jokes about 9/11/01, suicide, and box office bombs, found their way on the program. The comedians, writers, hosts, it seemed like everyone threw flaming darts at the man of the hour.
What made it more potent remained the exceptional guests like Teyana Taylor and Venus and Serena. Hart just leapt on people after they landed a punchline and called them out of their names with expletives.
The evening addressed Ross’ cancer condition and that he apparently is in remission. Jokes about that cropped up by the man himself as well as others.
The choice to go to Saudi Arabia and perform also weighed on Hart’s head as Gillis once again doubled down on why he didn’t participate. In essence, he mentioned a joke rather than his more frank answer that he had to stand on principle.
One other key component that stuck out remains the shots at Hart’s wife Eniko. They may have rehearsed some of the antics between the Rock casting his game at the comic and the actor's wife. Then, things got…weird. Homoerotic acts by Johnson made the night uncomfortable for a few moments.
In one instance, Johnson asked Hart to sit on his lap. Like some ventriloquist performer, he may have wanted that image. Hart refused. Then, Johnson raised the steaks and asked for a special toast. But this was a really special toast. Johnson suggested that Hart suckle at his teat(!).
That was goofy but possibly that has been worked out ahead of time. Nonetheless, it was a strange moment for a bizarre night. In all, the evening provided enough yucks to make the viewing worth it. We’ll see if Katt Williams and his alleged three thousand books read may be the next one to be roasted.
