Victor will betray Adam Again On ‘The Young and the Restless’

Victor Newman’s big night is over, and his family is seemingly on one accord. The mustache, however is not going back to sit on his couch as a typical retiree. Most viewers knew it was only a matter of time before trouble began and Victoria's stabbing has opened the door. Some fans believed Victor would step out of retirement and hold down the fort until his daughter recovers. Celebrating the Soaps and Celeb Dirty Laundry however have a different scenario in mind. The spoilers say Nick will be asked by his father to run the family business until his sister is back on her feet and if that happens, Adam will be devastated.

On Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Adam began getting ahead of himself by telling Chelsea he would be willing to help out at Newman until his sidter has totally recovered. He emphasized that his father needs someone who is well able. Adam assumes the curren cease fire indicates that his time has arrived to be equal with his siblings but he is wrong. Chelsea warned him that things may not go the way he desires but Adam’s head was in the clouds. He believes his relationship with his father is improving and that he should let Victor know he is available for the task of running Newman Enterprises. Chelsea is skeptical but agrees to support her husband to be no matter what happens.

Adam returns to the hosputal and sits with his dad. He pulls out his phone and offers to show Victor what’s happening on Walstreet and in the sports world on the Internet. He is delighted when daddyagrees. It’s a touching moment to see father and son bonding but this probably just the calm before the storm. Adam is trying so hard to gain his fathers affection and Victor does indeed love all of his children. The issue is that he has different expectations for them all. Earlier as Adam was talking to Chelsea, Victor attempted to excuse himself from the waiting area and said to take care of business. Nikki became irate and accused him of thinking more about business than Victoria. In front of everyone in the waiting are she accused her husband of wanting to step back into the helm of running Newman Enterprises and told him he simply could not come out of retirement.

If spoilers are correct, then Adam is about to be very disappointed. If Victor asks Nick to step in for his sister and he accepts, this will please the Newman patriarch because his first born was always his first choice. Soaps She Knows reported last week that the Newman brothers were going to be at odds over a business deal and this may be it. Adam will be crushed if his father turns him down. He will be absolutely heartbroken to know that he was passed over for Nick.

By the time Victoria recovers who knows where Victor’s head will be. He may end up causing all three of his oldest children to end up fighting for the right to run his company. Abby is the only one of the Newman siblings who had the good sense to walk away from her father’s manipulation and make a name for herself. The writers have to do something with Victor because he cannot go back to Newman full time and he should be doing more than sitting on the couch at the ranch with Nikki. Manipulating his children will keep him i the loop of Newman without actually working there. Micromanaging his offspring and watching them fight it out has always delighted the family patriarch,

Once Adam gets over the shock of being rejected, he might revert to his manipulative ways again, forgetting that he almos killed his father and that his sister almost died. Thetr is still annomosity from Nick because of Chelsea. Phyllis knows his Vegas secret and has him in her crosshairs. He would do well to keep walking the straight and narrow but Victor’s rejection will more than likely bring the old Adam to the surface, Longtime fans knew the truce would not last long and soon it will be back to business as usual.

In the past Victor would sit back and have his children clamoring for his attention and vying to be heir apparent to the Newman dynasty. You would think that with both he and Victoria having been close to death that things would change. Even Adam should traces his life after almost killing his father. Nikki stays neutral and treats her stepson pretty decent. Abby and Vicki tolerate him but Nick does not trust Adam. Nicholas is also dealing with the fact that Chelsea chose his brother. With Phyllis in his ear there is no telling how this will end. Viewers should brace themselves for a very bumpy ride.
