Tv Shows are known for the plethora of genres they come in and they tend to amount a fair-sized fandom during their run or sometimes even after the show is long over. And fans are known to come up with their own headcanons, theories, and analytical conclusions as to why certain things should have happened during the Shows' running time. But amongst the chaos of things within a fandom, it is fair to say that many become obsessed with non-canon couples of the Tv Show (which they spend a big amount of time picking out their favs interactions). Thus, sometimes it's hard to keep up with your favorite Tv couples or your favorite non-canon couples such as 'Bamon' from The Vampire Diaries. And even though there are tons of other lists like this one, I wanted to add my own opinions and ships to the melting pot. This is why I'm offering a list of my top 10 non-canon couples of concluded shows that I think deserved to be together during the show's running time or end up as endgame.

Warning: You might encounter some spoilers if you haven't seen any or some of the shows below, so proceed at your own risk of getting spoiled. I won't go much into details about the shows, but I will possibly talk about basics plot lines that are important for the ships.

10:Farkley (Farkle Minkus and Riley Matthews; Girl Meets World)

If you are familiar with the show Boy Meets World, you might have heard of its spin-off Girl Meets World. In 2014, Disney Channel came out with the spin-off in hopes to appeal to the younger generation that might be familiar with its predecessor, and possibly try and teach the same topics that the show did. And it did, somewhat, but if you weren't looking at their topics about friendships, the importance of honesty, and family, you were looking at the chemistry within the friend group. And while most were looking at Riley trying to get Lucas to like her as much as she did, I was looking at how Riley and Farkle were the cutest of them all.

While Riley and Lucas were meant to be the main couple of the show, Farkle--who had known both Riley and Maya far longer--seemed to always love Riley. And to me, Riley cared for Farkle more than anyone did. Just like she cared so much that she was willing to spare his feelings in 'Girl Meets The Truth'. When Maya wants to tell Farkle how bad his performance was during their school play, Riley tries to protect Farkle. The episode has a fair point on why Riley shouldn't lie to Farkle, but as a fan of the couple, this is one instance that we see the bond between Riley and Farkle. And there are many instances where we see Riley and Farkle do anything for each other that it is hard not to see the potential for a relationship. They are even each other's first kiss, so sue me if my heart wanted them together.

Sadly, the show does show how Farkle tones down his affection toward Riley when her relationship with Lucas gets more complicated as Maya admits she has feelings for Lucas too. But Lucas and Maya are a whole different ship *wink*. The show producers go as far as to give Farkle a relationship with Isadora--his sworn enemy. I guess that makes them the enemies to lovers trope hehe.

I liked them together, and I feel like the show should have allowed Riley and Farkle to try, not necessarily end up together, but allowed them to think about that. After all, when one is young you want the people you care about to be there forever, and Riley and Farkle as childhood friends would have been a beautiful end if the show had gotten more seasons.

9: Lucaya (Lucas Friar and Maya Hart; Girl Meets World)

Another of my favorite ships from the show has to be Lucas and Maya. I was 15 fifteen when the show came out, and right off the bat, I knew that what Maya and her 'huckleberry' had was something special. And it all came down to their chemistry. Even though it was always shown how Riley and Lucas cared for each other, Maya's commentary about Lucas always hinted that she liked him; her constant teasing was a sure sign of it, and in the special episode 'Girl Meets Texas' we find out that Maya has always liked Lucas. And in 'Girl Meets Texas (Part 2)' Lucas and Maya had an almost kiss that had the fandom in a frenzy.

After that, the show dives into Maya's and Lucas' relationship. They do not officially date in the show--the only time we get something like that is when they both go on an awkward-ish first date. Maya tries hard not to let her feelings come forth as her first thoughts are always about Riley's feelings--which includes ignoring her romantic feelings for Lucas.

By the time the show approaches its finale, Riley's uncle Josh (Maya has a crush on him) tells Maya that her feelings for Lucas only come from her attempts to become another Riley, thus her feelings for Lucas are an illusion...yeah, I'll let you process that for a second.

After Josh's ridiculous assessment of the situation--something he is not familiar with as he barely plays part in the show--Maya's feelings for Lucas are made out to be nothing but some weird part of her inability to be herself as she had 'been trying to be Riley' all along. This is where I became deeply disappointed with the showrunners as they had decided to not let Riley and Lucas be a couple by their own choices and understanding that they could be right for each other, but instead they paint Maya as the individual at fault for having been an obstacle for them. If the show hadn't gone for that, Maya and Lucas could have been such an epic love story that went through raw emotions and situations that would create the best relationship in the show. They missed their window. *sigh*

8: Camilijah (Camille O'Connell and Elijah Mikaelson; The Originals)

Moving on from shows for young audiences, The Originals, which is a spin-off for my all-time favorites show (The Vampire Diaries), has to be one of those shows that have great and interesting plots when it comes to bringing action and drama, but when it comes to its romance, they definitely are the 'hit or miss' type of deal. Throughout the show, Elijah's main love interest has always been Hayley, Klaus' baby mama. I personally do not ship them, at all. Sure during the first season, they were cute, but after Hayley became a Hybrid, things changed. Thus, my attention shifted from their interactions and issues, especially when Elijah went through the whole red door issue. Which brings in Camille and Elijah to interact a bit more. As a therapist, Camille is supposed to be helping Elijah with his issues with blood and his zoning out. While they stay with Hope at the house, Camille tries to be friendly with him and, to my surprise, there was an ease with their interactions that felt refreshing after seeing Elijah's relationship with Hayley.

Although they never explore anything as they are mere acquaintances, their short interactions present to the audience how perfect they could have been for the other, and even their interactions with others assure those who ship them that they would build up a strong relationship as their personalities would not clash, but complement each other.

For instance, Camille understands people as we see how she understands Klaus, but he is broken in ways that she only sees ways to repair him, but if she had been allowed to interact with Elijah in those ways, she would have been able to understand him, and not change him, but help him understand himself. After all, the show does an amazing job at showing that Elijah's nobility is just not his ultimate flaw but something that helps him pretend he is not as much a monster as Klaus.

Camille and Elijah would have worked much better than Elijah and Hayley and Camille and Klaus. There would have been personal growth that would be have been beneficial for both of them. And, of course, Cami would have been loved and appreciated like she deserved.

7: Jori (Jade West and Tori Vega; Victorious)

Like most people, I'm not the biggest fan of Tori, but it's hard to ignore her as she was the main character, thus she was subject to many love interests throughout the show. But, I never liked anyone she dated, as I was more enthralled in her 'friendship' with the iconic e-girl (?). Obviously, I did not understand my fascination with their relationship until later on in life. I am a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope, and Jade and Tori were enemies from the very beginning.

Sure, the show never went as far as to ever hint something could happen between the two girls, but that did not stop the fandom from obsessing with them, especially after Tori revealed to Beck that she cared for her when she couldn't kiss him after Beck tells her that he likes her.

Also, Jade has always given the vibes that she liked both men and women, which only added wood to the fire that is the Jori fandom. They could have been something interesting to explore not only as the show would have two girls dating, but also their interactions would have been funny to see given that all Jade had shown to Tori is her mean personality.

I will forever complain about this ship, they would have been so fun to see.

6: Frucien (Lucien Castle and Freya Mikaelson; The Originals)

Credits: The CW©

Another unusual pair, Lucien and Freya are the perfect 'what-ifs' of the Vampire show. Their interactions are limited to torture and interrogations, and some mild flirting as Lucien knows only how to ask favors with his charming personality. Even Klaus gets annoyed by Lucien's flirting which only causes shippers to grin. At least I do every time I see that scene when watching season 3. A user, Harper052 , commented on the show's Wiki explaining my exact feelings about Freya and Lucien relationship:

...I will always believe Frucien is real. Deleted scenes from season 3 point to a developing romance between Freya Mikaelson and Lucien Castle (if the scenes in the show aren’t enough proof already). It is likely that the writers of the show originally intended for Freya and Lucien to be a couple, but their budding romance didn't make the final cut, as Lucien became the antagonist of season 3.

Lucien had been in love with Aurora for centuries, which makes his interest in Freya stand out. He directed his flirtatious remarks at Freya only. The canon doesn’t matter here, Frucien is always and forever.

It would have been nice to see more of them, even if Lucien becomes the antagonist and meets his end at the hands of Klaus, and ironically, Freya.

5: Bori (Beck Oliver and Tori Vega; Victorious)

*sigh* this ship was always my favorite, even before Beck confesses his feelings for Tori. Since the very beginning of the show, it's clear there is chemistry between them two, and their first kiss while performing some improv adds to that discussion. Granted, Jade and Beck dated for the majority of the show as their love for each other was very strong, but it is hard to deny that even then, Beck had certain care and love for Tori. In 'Beck Falls For Tori' he shows an immense amount of care for Tori when he becomes Tori's stunt man because she is terrified to jump off the railing.

After that, we are still shown their care for each other, even if it is presented as a friendship up to the point when Beck confesses his feelings for Tori and they almost kiss. Ultimately, Tori says she can't hurt Jade by kissing him, which implies that she is not following her feelings because she doesn't want to hurt a friend. Even after, there is some tension, and their feelings are still there but then won't act on it, mainly because of Tori.

It would have been nice to see them as a couple, as Beck seems to really care for her even if they are just friends. But the show's abrupt end, and Tori's choice not to pursue a relationship with Beck, cut short what is clear: they would have worked nicely. Even their friends' reactions to them dating, would have been entertaining, and of course, Jade's reaction.

4: Dasey (Derek Venturi and Casey McDonald; Life with Derek)

Alright, this one is a controversial ship giving that they are stepsiblings. But if you like Clueless' Cher and Josh, you can sit through this one. Like Cher and Josh, Derek and Casey do not see each other as siblings. They were teenagers that were forced to live under the same roof after their parents got married. Another enemies to lovers trope, Derek and Casey's relationship consist of never-ending banter.

They're so different, Casey being the studious kid that doesn't fit in and possibly has OCD, while Derek is your typical laidback, popular, jock, and womanizer guy. This is why they clash so much, and they are teens after all. And many fan theories are based on the fact, that they were teenagers trying hard to ignore their feelings for each other.

Throughout the four seasons, and the movie, we see them come to understand one another, care for the other, but not in a sibling-like manner which is clear to see whenever they interact with their other step-siblings. But due to it being a Disney show, they never went for a romantic angle aside from having amazing chemistry and an unconventional relationship.

I love them together, and my source of joy comes from the fanfictions that make them explore their feelings while they are at college together, as at the end of the show is hinted at, but then the movie shadows that Casey might follow her dreams to become a dancer.

*sigh* I'm so reading some fics later...

3: (Pheobe Buffay and Joey Tribbiani; Friends)

Just to be clear, I love Phoebe and Mike, I'm happy with their final ending. Still, I would have liked to see Phoebe and Joey get together. They made such a cute couple, and I love the fact that they made that promise that if they hadn't found their special someone, they would get married for their sake. It's a cute and heartfelt pact. They were so right for each other in a sense that had Pheobe not found Mike, she and Joey would have had a nice life together. They were best friends that matched each other's energy to a level that none of their other friends could which makes their bond a lot cuter.

They should have had a chance to explore something that could assure them that everything would be fine and that if they did not work together, that they understood that too. All I can say is that I really feel like they were subject to a missed opportunity, but at the end of the day Pheobe ended up with someone who loves her deeply and truly.

2: Klayley (Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall-Kenner; The Originals)

Oh lord, this one hurts me so much. They should have, a 100%, been allowed to explore a romantic relationship, and I'm sure the writers knew it would be smart, and they build it up so nicely. And then it went to hell.

Klaus' and Hayley's relationship is sure one of those that you either hate or love given that it comes off as toxic. But I believe it was, only halfway through season 2 and up to halfway to season 3. Other than that, it's been about two people that share a kid which is their safe haven, their world, theirs. Klaus' and Hayley's relationship does not necessarily steam from the fact that they both parent Hope, but because they parent Hope, they both work to meet common ground for their daughter's benefit. This allows them both to see through one another, to better see what the other wants.

During season one, Klaus is c0ming to terms with the fact that he will be a father, and that terrifies him especially since he wanted nothing to do with Hayley or the baby at first, and by the end, he cannot see his life without either woman. And that thought alone hurts as Klaus nor Hayley get their happy ending, respectively. The showrunners might have shown us a more domestic Klayley had the show continued on, but the last season was such an abrupt end that one is left to believe that they had to cut everything short. Hayley's and Klaus' relationship was of mutual understanding, as they were both victims of absent parents, trust issues, and fear of letting people in. But they knew they were so similar that they weren't afraid to tell one another their bitter truths. And even if they hurt one another, at the end of the day they would forget and still care, do anything in other to make sure the other was okay.

They should have been endgame not because of Hope, but because they wanted it. They deserved a happy ending with their daughter.

1: Megstiel (Meg and Castiel; Supernatural)

Castiel is one of my favorite characters from Supernatural, so I was very protective of who his love interests were. But I have to admit, that the demon Meg quickly became my favorite. The next thing I knew, I was loving the idea of Cas and Meg getting together, and then my prayers were heard. Cas and Meg shared a passionate kiss before they faced off Crowley. It was a hilarious scene, but I must admit that a demon and angel relationship like theirs would go down as the biggest 'should've been' of the show. Even Dean could see that there was something going on.

Their relationship is unconventional, sure, but it was one that made all of us smile because Cas is such a soft boy. Their relationship starts off rough, but the more they interact, each other's presence is welcomed. Even Cas smiled when he thought he was seeing Meg once again. Also, Meg cares for him and it shows when she tells Sam to bring his 'unicorn' to her, a codename she uses for Sam's girl who was making him want a normal life. One can assume that those same things apply when she calls Cas her 'unicorn'.

Sadly, they do not get a happy ending. Neither of them gets to have something more which only enrages me.

Well, that concludes my list of top 10 non-canon Tv couples that I think should have deserved more than what they got or did not get. Although, sometimes writers have a clear idea for what they want for their characters, sometimes their own writing suggests that there is potential for other, better, or different things that can be explored. And sometimes fans/fandoms see those doors.
