Time is tuning out for Cyrus Renault on GENERAL HOSPITAL. He held ta own sister, Laura as a hostage and threatened that neither of them may come out of this alive. Although weak from loss of blood due to a bullet wound he continues to fight with all his might. Now he has been shot by Jordan and is handcuffed to a hospital bed. Viewers have been eagerly awaiting the downfall of this madman but he insists he will not go back to jail. For a moment on Thursday, it seemed as if Renault might turn the gun on himself and end his life but that did not happen.

Gladys has confessed on tape that Cyrus forced her to lie that Jason shot Franco. She also admitted that it was Peter August who was disposing of the murder weapon. Cyrus has now threatened the lives of Portia and Trina taken Laura hostage and shot Curtis. Still, there is no guarantee that just because he seems down for the count that he won't make a comeback. Jeff Kober is doing a wonderful job portraying the madman who deep down just wants love and respect. His crimes are many but he may yet find a way out of his troubles.

Kevin was frantic as he advised his wife that she was about to lose her life at the hands of her sibling. Still, Laura could not guarantee that she would not get herself into a similar situation in the future. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are debating the future of Cyrus Renault and many believe his days are numbered. The writers could have had Jordan end his life but they did not. This may indicate that there is more mileage to be gained from this corrupt man,

Something that no one has thought about is the fact that GENERAL HOSPITAL is currently running without a chief of staff and the head of the board. Perhaps the remaining board members will vote the make changes such as reinstating Britt, Bobbie, and Monica as well as giving Liz and Epiphany full-time status once again. Cyrus has his minions everywhere so there is no telling how he programmed them to respond if he was taken into custody or what will happen next. At least he cannot give any direct orders unless he has people on the payroll of the GCPD.

Viewers could almost have pitty on Cyrus who at times behaved like a mistreated child. Laura was truly afraid for her life but did her best to stand her ground when dealing with her brother. Every time she tries to give him the benefit of the doubt she recalls what he did to Lulu. Now, to add insult to injury Renault shot Curtis right in front of his good friend and Mayor Collins was horrified.

Is this the beginning of the end for Cyrus Renault and is there any hope for him? His issues with violence began early when he ran down his own father. The drug pusher insisted that it was an accident but his recent actions seem to indicate that he did it on purpose which is what his mother Florence believes. Renault killed one of his own men by stabbing him in the gut, and he threatened to send Spinelli back to Carly in pieces. This man has never shown an ounce of remorse for any of his crimes and seems incapable of feelings except desiring to control.

Spoilers do not indicate what will happen next regarding this crazed lunatic but it does not look good for Laura's half-sibling. Throughout recent events there has been no sign of their brother Martin who will no doubt have some choice words for his big brother, Be on the lookout for updates related to what will be the next step for Cyrus. Someone could kill him while he is in GENERAL HOSPITAL, or he might take his own life. Renault could somehow escape and leave Port Charles never to return, He also might be sent to Pentonville and never mentioned again. Stay tuned to see how this all turns out.
