Theo and Summer share a moment that shifts the storyline on ‘The Young and the Restless’

Spoilers for The Young and the Restless indicate that Theo and Summer will have an unusual exchange this week. Instead of arguing or making snide remarks about one another they will each offer the other a voice of wisdom. This will be a complete turnaround for the duo and will benefit them both moving forward. Their communication will change their destinies and perhaps leave them without animosity towards each other. Until now, Theo has been a man on a mission of destruction. Theo Vanderway came to Genoa City causing problems for Kyle who used to be his New York party buddy. He dated Summer knowing she has been Kyle’s first wife, then slept with Lola immediately after she and Kyle broke up. He even brought Zoe to town to try to prevent the Kola wedding.

Theo eventually shifted to trying to destroy the entire Abbott family but now it seems he might have a change of heart. Perhaps he realizes the way he has handled things was not in anyone’s best interest. Whatever happens in his mind, Sumner will convince her ex to drop the lawsuit against the Abbott’s and accept their settlement offer. What brings about this epiphany is not really clear but spoilers say it will indeed take place. Theo will not resort to his bag of tricks but in turn does his former lover a solid and gives her a dire warning about Sally. This is an abrupt about face and does not seem logical. Viewers know that Tyler Johnson stated on Instagram that he would soon be off of the CBS daytime drama. His fans are disappointed as they enjoy his character. Theo, however, was written to be a thorn in the side of the Abbott’s, but it’s not totally without reason. His new family was guarded in welcoming him to the clan and he clashed with Kyle who badmouthed him at every turn. Kyle’s warnings it seems were accurate but Its looking like Tyler Johnson’s character may be going to make amends before he exits Genoa City. Viewers know Theo filed a lawsuit to take from the Abbott’s 100% of his grandmother’s inheritance but Jack wants to settle out of court.

Summer and her ex clash and like oil and water each time they see each other but soon this will change. Summer is going to convince Kyle’s cousin that his best bet would be to take the Abbott’s offer. He obviously will listen to her because Celebrating The Soaps says the lawsuit will be dropped. Fans will be glad to see a bit of humanity from Mr. Vanderway who until now seemed to only care about himself. Let’s hope Theo can leave town with a little dignity and perhaps mend a few fended with his new family. While that may or may not happen the spoiler does say that Theo will return the favor.

Mr. Vanderway is going to give Summer some sage advice of his own. He is going to expose Sally to her and leave no doubt that Ms. Spectra is bad news. Theo warns Summer that Sally is determined to hurt her and may make a play for Kyle as well as Summer’s job in order to have her way. Summer will immediately warn her fiancé about Sally but Kyle will not take the threat as seriously as Summer does. He thinks he can handle Sally Spectra but this might be more than he can handle. Soap Dirt revealed last week that Jack is soon going to talk to Sally. He might warn her away from his son and Summer and or his good friend Lauren. Perhaps Jack sees disaster coming or could it be he is interested in the much younger Sally Spectra?

It’s not clear why Theo turns on the woman who was supposed to be spying on the Abbott’s for him, but Tyler Johnson fans will be glad to hear it. They don’t want Theo to be run out of town on a rail. If he leaves on a good note with Summer, Kyle, Jack, Tracy, and Ashley then so much the better. When he is gone however, Summer will still have to keep her guard up around Sally. Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful know that Sally’s schemes always backfire in her face with disastrous results and she knows it too. If her bad behavior keeps up she might not be long for Genoa City so stay tuned.
