Abby is in her own little world and Sharon and Tessa cannot see what is right in front of them.

Spoilers for The Young and the Restless are teasing that Mariah Copeland (Cameron Grimes) might take her Bowie and run. A number of those who watch the show feel the same way and if that happens they will have been accurate. Whatever takes place in the future, viewers are watching Mariah spiral out of control right now. She is coming unglued right in front of everyone and no one seems aware of how serious this is.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is excited to be a new mom and she appreciates the sacrifice Mariah made on her behalf. No one counted on the surrogate being kidnapped and locked for weeks in a small room. Everyone is acknowledging that there will be fallout but the severity of the situation has not yet been recognized.

Mariah and her baby were all alone in captivity and Bowie was the only person Ms. Copeland had to conversate with. She bonded with the little boy and now she is dealing with the reality that she will not raise him. Last week while in the hospital Mariah fed Dominic his bottle and emphasized that he was drinking her milk. She feels the maternal bond but is unable to do much about it. She is also feeling frightened and paranoid after her ordeal and everyone keeps assuring her that no harm will come to her or the baby.

On Tuesday while at Crimson lights Mariah was watching a young mother with her baby and the look on her face was quite sad. She was so caught up in the moment that she blocked out the fact that Sharon(Sharon Case and Tessa(Cait Fairbanks) were talking to her. She admitted to her mother that she continues to call the child "Bowie" even though Abby named him Dominic. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) stopped by and expressed his concerns but Mariah quickly turned on him. She said that she was suffering because a man tried to impress a girl by setting up a situation where he could be the hero.

When Sharon tried to diffuse the situation her daughter accused her of taking Adam's side. Mariah went to the Chancellor mansion to pump her milk for the baby and found him alone because Abby was in another room. She went to the bassinet and asked "Bowie" if he missed her because she misses him. Mariah then ben down close to her son and began humming a lullaby. At that moment Abby walked in and took in the situation.

Bowie is why Mariah made it through being held hostage and she became dependant on him as well as being his protector. She loves Abby and wants her to raise the child but is so overwhelmed by it all. Her maternal instincts are increasing because this baby came from her body. Viewers can tell that something is about to happen but it may or may not be that she steals her own child.

She could become too attached to "Bowie" and Abby may or may not let the nickname stick. Ms. Copland could have to go to therapy or even be hospitalized because of the trauma she experienced while locked in that room. Her loved ones might have to do an intervention to help her remember that Abby is the baby's legal mother and get Maria to a better place. On Tuesday she took the baby for a walk without telling anyone and Abby panicked and called Devon. Mariah loves this child and is not doing well with boundaries so things will probably become ugly soon so stay tuned.
