'The Young and the Restless' Has Trouble Brewing

CBS preempted Wednesday's daytime programs because of the impeachment proceeding but The Young and the Restless can be viewed online.

The Young and the Restless is picking up the pace on several front burner storylines and big trouble is brewing in Genoa City. If the CBS daytime drama is not preempted, the fun begins Thursday. On Wednesday's episode, Billy decided to walk away from Jabot. Victoria was understanding, but Jack was really troubled, Things got worse when Ashley called her brother and said she was giving Theo a job in Paris. As Jack talked with Ashley, the wheels seemed to be turning so spoilers predicting Theo may stay in town and work or Jabot could be right. Dina is fading fast and her son wants to hold on to every bit of her that he can. The Abbott siblings only just found out about their new half brother and have not yet had a chance to get to know him. Theo has decided to accept the Paris offer but nothing is final yet.

Billy seems to have had an epiphany regarding his attitude towards Kyle and Jack no longer wants to run the family company. It's only natural that he might want Theo working side by side with his son. This may not work out because Theo could always decide to go to Europe. Whatever decision he makes, Kyle being in charge of Jabot will bring its own set of issues. Summer will be right there by his side and this will cause issues with Lola. Summer's feelings for Kyle are getting stronger and his for her might grow I they are always together. Billy Abbot stepping away from Jabot, along with Jack and Victor walking away from the corporate world is huge and those who watch The Young and the Restless will be eager to find out what is next for these powerful men.

At the end of Wednesday's episode of The Young and the Restless Simon Black was given a cell phone. He called his lawyer and said he had some information on Colin Atkinson. This more than likely ties in with scamming Devon out of his money. Simon obviously believes he can cut a deal to reduce his sentence. He promised Nick that he was not going to bother Chelsea but he had a gleam in his eye. He probably believes he can make money some other way once he is out of jail, or he is lying and Chelsea is still in danger.

Jill has located her husband in the Maldives and Chance is on his way there. It sounds like some answers are finally going to come forth and viewers will be able to get to the root of what is going on. Cane is about to make his exit from Genoa City and it's looking like he will leave in shame and disgrace. Spoiler alerts are saying that Colin is going to place the blame for everything on Cane who will continue to declare his innocence. Viewers are waiting to find out whether or not Cane is an innocent bystander or perhaps in the mastermind behind the plot. Spoilers say Colin will tell Jill a tall tale that she does not know whether or not to believe. The truth lies somewhere in the middle of Colin, Cane and Simon's stories. Amanda's role in all of this will also need to be revealed.

Jill pushed Devon to obey what they thought were Katherine's wishes and he gave away his inheritance. They moved rather quickly and now find out it was all a lie. Cane already set up trust funds for his children so this is really a big mess. It's possible, but not likely that Cane will do the right thing and give the money back. Perhaps Devon will allow the twins to keep their trust fund. He might become so disgusted that he walks away from it all.

Cane could leave Genoa City with everything that belonged to Devon and never look back, which makes Devon seem pretty gullible. The entire storyline beginning with Katherine leaving billions to her grandson was pretty far fetched from the beginning. Now, the untimely death of Neil, Lilly moving away and the death of Hilary and her unborn child have brought the situation to this point where it is now.
