The Young and the Restless: Fans want to know what's really going on

Fans of The Young and the Restless are in disagreement regarding what is really going on between Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke ( Robert Newman). Vicki says she is angry that he played her in an attempt to gain control of Newman-Locke. She has a plan to fake out her husband and make him pay for all he has done and her family is not sure she can pull it off.

At least those watching the ABC soap have an idea of what the Newman CEO is up to but Ashland's motives are not clear. Some Y&R fans say that in spite of his devious nature and despicable acts, the Lockness monster does indeed love his wife and cannot bear to lose her. Others believe Ashland is pulling the wool over Victoria's eyes and wants to get her alone to do away with her and control the company.

Locke has the skill set to do just about anything he chooses but the question is what is he planning? Spoilers say that things are going to become dangerous but Victoria wants to prove to her family that she has what it takes to handle her evil spouse. Viewers want to know if she has residual feelings for him and could she fall back into his life and abandon her plans or will she remain strong? Just because she is shocked by his behavior does not prove she has instantly fallen out of love.

Ashland Locke could be slipping and will make mistakes

Ashland stood his ground with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and never admitted his cancer fraud. He did, however, seem a bit off of his game when he talked with Adam Newman (Mark Gossman) which has some fans wondering if he is slipping. Adam shared with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) that he detects a chink in his brother-in-law's armor and is making some plans of his own to take advantage of Victoria's vulnerability.

Ashland will soon be rattled when he finds out that one of his schemes has already failed. While he was attempting to ensure that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) never saw the light of day and remained in the Peruvian prison, Michael was back in Genoa City and having drinks with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

It looks like things are unraveling slowly but surely for Locke but General Hospital fans are uncertain of the final outcome. Victoria may end up in a situation where she fears for her life and kills her spouse in self-defense. She might also be pushed to a point where she ends his life by choice. Vicki has made all the arrangements for the trip to Tuscany and it's possible she has already planned what will be Ashland's undoing.

The Young and the Restless keeps fans guessing

Although Robert Newman was only recently hired it does not mean that The Young and the Restless will honor his contract. Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales) recently shared with Soaps in Depth that Y&R had a 6-month opinion built into his 3-year contract and recently decided to let him go.

If Newman's contract is the same it means the CBS soap can fire him after six months. Once Victoria and Victor are done with Locke there really will be no reason for him to remain in Genoa City. Y&R is keeping fans in suspense regarding how Vicki and Ashland really feel about one another but in time all will be revealed. Be on the lookout for The Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and breaking news as it becomes available.
