'The Young and the Restless' fans are concerned regarding the fate of Faith Newman

Fans of The Young and the Restless became alarmed after Thursday's episode of the CBS daytime drama. On Twitter and Facebook groups it seems that many are thinking the same thing. No one wants to see Alyvia Lind's character Faith Newman end up kidnapped, pregnant or dead. In real-time, a teen who is dealing with all that the Newmans have thrown at Faith possibly would be suicidal. In reel-time however, it's not certain where this storyline is headed. Viewers are concerned for the fate of the teen and are crying out to the writers: "Don't do it."

Faith is the daughter of Nick and Sharon, but after her birth her uncle Adam kidnapped her and gave her to Ashley Abbott, who was having a hysterical pregnancy and had never even conceived. Sharon and Ashley were both in a mental institution and confused about what happened. . She was kept under lock and key and her family was told that her baby girl had died. Eventually, things got sorted out and Nick and Sharon got Faith back. During her short lifetime, Faith has witnessed her parents getting back together only to break up several times. Sharon once left Nick at the altar because she found out he had slept with Phyllis. Faith was in the church and witnessed the entire fiasco,

Sharon has also dated Adam, and Rey, while Nick has dated Chelsea and gone back to Phyllis. Faith has had to endure her uncle Adam causing her grandfather Victor to be hospitalized because he tampered with his medicine. Faith is the half-sister of Mariah because Sharon is the mother of both. She and Summer are half-sisters because they both have Nick as a father. Noah is her full brother because they both belong to Nick and Sharon. Faith also witnessed her mother dating Dillon MCavoyoy who was the biological son of her grandma, Nikki Newman. Sharon was even once married to her daughter's grandfather Victor.

Recently her aunt Victoria and uncle through marriage Billy got together and put all the sordid details of Faith's birth in a magazine. It was also revealed that her uncle Adam killed a man when he was 11 years old and her grandpa Victor covered it up. There is much more but it would take too much time to deal with it. The point is that Faith has issues and right now she has a secret. She has been texting and meeting someone but says its not a boy. She could be involved with someone she met on the Internet which is dangerous. During the past few days, she has been watching Summer hiding in Chancellor Park and spying on Kyle. Summer even confided in her younger sister who actually is not old enough to handle all of this drama.

Viewers are wondering who Faith is texting and meeting and if she will end up like the other women in her family. There is real concern among fans that The Young and the restless might be setting Faith up for a tragic teen storyline. She is hiding something from her family, that much is known and she has a secret friend. She has so much coming at her right now that acting out would be expected. Faith admitted that the children at her school were teasing her because of the article that Billy printed and she has been downplaying how this is affecting her. Fan love Alyvia Lind and don't want her to leave Y&R. This is why there is an outcry about what is going to happen to her.

Everyone around her is dysfunctional and no one seems to be picking up the signs that this teen is in trouble. Her parents reuniting and breaking up, a succession of men in and out of her mother's home, and a grandfather and uncle who are always causing serious drama is a bit much. There is no telling what the writers have planned for Faith but something has got to give because this child should not have to deal with so much drama from the adults in her life. Throw in the fact that her mother is dealing with breast cancer and Faith has more than a full plate. Be on the lookout for updates to find out what the future holds for Nick ad Sharon's daughter. If viewers are right something tragic is going to unfold and fans can only hope that it does not end with her death.
