Conner Floyd's movie role causing controversy

Stolen in Her Sleep is a 2021 television movie that stars The Young and the Restless actor Conner Floyd (Chance Chancelor). There is no information that confirms the film has been completed and there is no release date. There are, however, multiple articles circulating on the Internet that suggest Floyd will be leaving Y&R but there has been no confirmation. Many times stories are imbellished and headlines are hyped to gain readers but there may be no truth to any of it.

Fans of The Young and the Restless know that Richard Burgi (Ashland Locke) recently was let go and is being replaced by Robert Newman. This does not indicate, however, that Y&R is on a spree of getting rid of cast members. Floyd joined the CBS soap in the midst of contrversy surrouding Chance because his predecessor, Donny Boaz was abruptly fired at the beginning of 2021;

Chance Chancellor is a contoversial character

The execs at The Young and the Restless said the role would to be recast and they allowed Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) to go through the surrogate pregnancy with Mariah Copeland (Cameron Grimes) and the birth of Dominic Phillip Abbott Newman Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) without her husband anywhere around.

Some spoilers teased that Floyd's character would be dealing with PTSD and other issues that would keep him from being a good father and husband. The rumor mill has also suggested that somehow Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) who is Dominic's sperm donor would end up raising the child he agreed to father. He only recently came to an agreement of shared custody with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) so who knows what may be in the future for them.

As for Floyd, the actor only recently took on the role of Phillip Chancellor IV and it would not seem logical that he would be leaving so soon but on daytime anything is possible. If the film Stolen in the Nigyht has been released then it would not be a conflict for the actor to remain on The Young and the Restless.

Soap Opera Spy is reporting that Floyd has a new gig so it's not clear if the movie has possibly been delayed and only now is being filmed. Without details fans of The Young and the Restless should not jump to conclusions and assume the actor is leaving the CBS soap.

Conner Floyd's days on The Young and the Restless could be numbered

Spoilers indicate that Devon wil be excited that Abby agreed to change the name of his son to Dominic Philip Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor which includes his adopted father Neil. Many Y&R viewers werw wondering why this was not done in the beginning when the other names were added? Spoilers also say that Chance will soon receive a letter that leaves him troubled and this may cause problems in his marriage.

Is it possible that Conner Floyd was only hired to bring closure to the character of Chance? Will what he reads in the letter lead to his leaving town on another assignment or to obtain emotional help? Could this open a door for Abby and Devon to grow closer and end up raising dominic together or will Chance and Abby have a happily ever after?

The writers have not been very forthcoming with this storyine and some fans are still baffled by Ben Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) showing up to kidnap Marriah in the middle of it all. Be on the lookout for breaking new, updates,and spoilers related to Conner Floyd as well as his Y&R character Chance Chancellor.
