The Young and the Restless: Le Blanc on portraying Michael Baldwin

Soap Opera Digest is revealing information from an interview with soap star Christian Jules Le Blanc that will delight his fans. Although he has not been front and center on The Young and the Restless for a while, the actor is celebrating 30 years with the show. Fans dubbed the actor a "Silver Fox" when he went gray during the 2020 pandemic and eagerly await his scenes when he is on the CBS soap. LeBlanc once was prominent in Genoa City but a few years back hsi air time was cut.

Viewers were outraged when an episode aired that seemed to be a put down of Leblanc's character Michael Baldwin as well as Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). The two popular Genoa City men were shown playing racketball which is something they had not done since the 1990s. There was a viewer outcry because it appeared the show was trying to imply that Paul and Michael were relics of the past. When Davidson was fired from the show there was a campaign to bring him back but the powers that be did not listen. Fans are thankful that Michael is still around although they would like to see more of him.

Y&R fans love Le Blanc and will be happy to know that he has remained pretty busy when he is not portraying Genoa City's most famous lawyer. Le Blanc is celebrating 3 decades on the CBS soap and says he hopes he is far removed from how evil his character was in the beginning. Michael was a ruthless man and abused several women, but the love of Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Traci Bregman) seems to have turned him around.

Christian Le Blanc: Opens his own art studio

Le Blanc shared that he recently opened his own art studio and viewer need only to click on the link and see how talented the actor is. The gallery is in New Orleans and is being run by Vincent Bergeal a Parisian master framer and “ethereal landscapes” fine artist Kevin Gillentine. Both men have been sharing art for over 20 years with the New Orleans community.

Christian Leblanc: Portrays Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

A few weeks back Le Blanc shared some "Big" news with his fans. He will be portraying Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. This role was played by the iconic and bigger-than-life Burl Ives in the film of the same name. Soaps.com says the actor joked about missing his opportunity to play Brick, the character that was made famous by Paul Newman in the 1958 movie based on the 1955 Broadway production. You can read more detail by clicking on the above link. LeBlanc shared with the Soap spoiler that he was terrified to play such a strong character but fans have every confidence that he can pull it off.

The Young and the Restless: What comes next for Michael

LeBlanc was born on August 25, 1958, and looks to be in great shape for a man of 63. The actor did not give any details of what Y&R viewers can expect in the future for his character but fans are hoping that he will stick around Genoa City and be given a more prominent role on the soap. He just helped Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) win her case against her grandfather Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) and those who watch the CBS soap are hoping Michael will not fade into the background. Congratulations Christian Jules Le Blanc for 30 years on The Young and the Restless, the role of Big Daddy Pollitt in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and the success of your art gallery.
