The Problem When A Screenwriter writing a Screenplay for Vampire Academy

This will be a rant of major thoughts and scenes that I hated and loved to.

I can't get out of my mind how Julie Plea fucked up Vampire Academy screenplay, and the first season. I was mortified completely on some parts. The TV adaption and book from what I have learned are like polar opposites.

The summary of this TV show is coming right now, Rose Hathaway portrayed by Sisi Stringer who is an Aussie actress. She is a Dhampir the guardian of an ancient race called the Moroi. She is best friends with Lissa Dragomir.

The TV series is way different compared to the movie adaption. It feels like polar opposites. I don't understand why screenwriters have to do this.

If I were a screenwriter I would use the author's book as like the holy bible sort of thing. You don't want to disappoint the fans most of all.

"The book and the adaption are two separate entities." says Elorie Blackwell this is my first quote from her.

I think she might be right about this, but like a fan of any book series it doesn't have be two separate entities. Hollywood makes it so it's two separate things.

Me: Baby Do you think a book and a TV adaption is two separate things?

Shane: It is, no screenplay will ever be accurate to the book. For example, see it like managa and anime. The anime will have a different aspect that the managa doesn't have. Managa will have stuff anime doesn't have. I bet you never that Percy Jackson had a book series before the movies. Yet the movies are so good on their.

Me: I read the books for Percy Jackson. And simpler but separate entities baby with Percy Jackson.

Shane: Exactly.

Me: Oh yes but your right. Wish it wasn't though baby.

It's sad that it felt like they had filler just to speed the storyline along. Why kill off Mikael? Why keep Andre alive only to watch Lissa witness his death? And the invasion of the St. Vladimir to the strigoi?

I don't understand that concept of having Lissa find out Andre is alive. Would it sit her off to the darkness for spirit? Mikael dying was the whole point to killing him, to set Sonya down the path who being a Strigoi.

It's so annoying for me, but nevertheless between the books and the TV shows are completely two different things.

“One thing that will be a surprise for fans is that, not only is the show not set in Montana or Pennsylvania, but it’s in this beautiful, epic setting because we were able to shoot it in Spain,” this is so annoying. PA is where the setting takes place in the books. And Queen Tatania Ivashkov isn't even the actual queen in the TV show adaption.

Richelle Mead must be very disappointed in this, what should be a great experience for an author to experience is a nightmare. From the horror stories, I've heard from other authors when they sell their book to an agent, publisher, and that book becomes a TV adaption its a nightmare.

Sources have reported that season 2 has been renewed but it's uncertain right now. But Julie Plea said at Comic Con 2022 that there has been in the works writing has started for the scripts for season 2.

"Executive producer Julie Plec confirmed at the 2022 New York Comic Con that they've definitely planned ahead for a second season. If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device." -Quote from Julie Plea.

The Cast of Vampire Academy TV Adaption.

The cast is great I love the diversity never thought I would see mixed cultures though they made it so obvious.

The full cast of Vampire Academy is a huge hit and I love it so much. Though the storyline is a little obscure though in so many levels.

I love the promotions of the shows. The graphics are awesome.
