The Bold and the Beautiful: Kiara Barnes begins season 2 of Fantasy Island

Kiara Barnes showed up on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2018 and took the fashion world by storm as Zoe Buckingham. She snuck her way into Forrester Creations fashion show and ended up wearing the "Show Stopper" which was a beautiful wedding gown. Zoe was popular but she abruptly left LA for Paris after finding out that her fiance Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) cheated with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer)

The real reason for Zoe's departure was that Barnes was hired as Ruby Akuda on the Fox reboot of Fantasy Island. Ruby is a female version of Tatoo who was the assistant of Mr. Roarke who ran the Island in the original 1970s show. Ruby works with Roarke's niece Elena Roarke (Roselyn Sanchez).

The Bold and the Beautiful: Fans want Zoe back

Some fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have been saying that they wish Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) would return and put her sister Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and her mother Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) in check. Paris is all over the place when it comes to the men in her life and Cassandra is the stereotypical meddling soap mother.

Some B&B viewers believed that if Fantasy Island did not catch on with viewers that Barnes would return to the CBS soap. Reboots often do not measure up to the original show but thus far that does not seem to be the case with the Fox reboot. Right now Kiara has returned to Puerto Rico and is busy preparing for the second season of Fantasy Island but no date has been given for when it will air on Fox.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Fans say Zoe needs closure

There are those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful who say that Zoe needs closure because of the way she abruptly left town. She had just found out that her fiance Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) cheated with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) who is married to Eric Forrester (John McCook). Zoe departed LA without any type of confrontation.

Carter had previously broken off their engagement because Zoe kissed Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) and then he actually has sex with Quinn. Fans say Zoe was due her moment when she should have told Carter off and had some type of physical altercation with Quinn who was supposed to be her friend. Instead, Zoe simply left town.

The Bold and the Beautiful fans had mixed reactions to Zoe

Some viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful were unkind to the actress during COVID in 2020 when the cast had to do their own hair and make-up. Barnes had been wearing dark brown wavey hair extensions that complemented her green/hazel eyes. During COVID she switched to a long light brown/blonde wig and her eyes also seemed brown and some fans did not agree with the change.

Rude comments were made on social media about Barnes as well as a few other soap actresses. Since joining the cast of Fantasy Island the actress is wearing her natural hair in a short very becoming style. Barnes has said she is happy to be back in Puerto Rico shooting scenes for season 2 of Fantasy Island so she probably has no time to think about Zoe.

If the B&B character is needed any time soon the CBS soap can always use a recast. best of luck to Kiara Barnes on Fantasy Island and time will tell whether or not she makes a return to the CBS soap that was her first official acting job.
