If you want to purchase any of the books listed below, click on the titles. They are affiliated links that will take you directly to the store.

1. The Chronicles of Narnia, by C. S. Lewis

Composed of seven fascinating chronicles, the saga “The Chronicles of Narnia” is always in the ranking of the most read adventures in the world.

It chronicles a secret society with witches and magical creatures that permeate fantasy, action, romance and compile indescribable plots.

In Narnia, we find talking animals, religious themes and even some elements of Greek and Norse mythology. What is not lacking is a lot of fantasy and mysteries to be explored.

In this way, “The Chronicles of Narnia” consolidates itself as a true classic, capable of transforming the imagination and ensnaring the reader in a universe full of fascination.

2. Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

The book “The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy” is literally surreal and extraordinary. It tells the story of Dent, a young man focused on his journey across the galaxy with his friend Ford Prefect, one of the few he had.

Thus, he ended up discovering that he was an extraterrestrial, at the same time that he had to deal with the terrible information that the planet Earth was about to be hit by the aliens.

After the adventures lived in “The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy” and “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe”, Dent continues to be the protagonist in “Life, the Universe and Everything else”, the third volume of the saga.

In fact, Towel Day (May 25) is inspired by this incredible series and brings a pleasant memory to fans, as Douglas Adams alludes to the importance of the accessory for those who propose to live as travelers to the galaxies.

In a kind of imitation of contemporary society, the author shows in the last volume of the series (“Life, the universe and everything else”) an unusual story that presents the meaning of many things in life.

So, if you love a sci-fi story, grab your towel and come enjoy one of the best literary sagas of all time!

3. The Lord of the Rings, by J. R. R. Tolkien

This magnificent work is also included in the list of the most read in the world.

(We warned that here we only had the best).

The fourth reading tip on our list is the “The Lord of the Rings” saga. This is a trilogy written during World War II and is the continuation of the book "The Hobbit".

If you already fit the profile of a regular reader and are passionate about fiction, this reading is your goose that lays the golden egg!

In the novel, the following works are compiled:

  • The Lord of the Rings: The Ring Society (Book 1)
  • The Lord of the Rings: the two towers (book 2)
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (book 3)

Unfortunately, the popularity of this fantastic trilogy only came about due to the release of movies based on the series' stories, it's still very much worth checking out!

4. Harry Potter, by JK Rowling

Obviously, the list would be incomplete without this surprising saga, responsible for narrating the story that begins with a young man who was unaware of his magical powers until he was eleven years old.

It all starts when he receives a letter from Hogwarts informing him of his acceptance to study at a magic school.

Reading is extensive and will take you on a long and impressive journey. But where to start? Well, we suggest that you start with the first book, “The Philosopher's Stone”, whose plot forms a linear sequence.

And we've already anticipated: it will be difficult (or rather, impossible) to stop here.

The phenomenal stories of Harry Potter are lived together with his you friends Hermione and Ron. The books are still part of the saga:

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets;
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban;
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire;
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix;
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince;
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows;
  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

How about embarking on this adventure with this gang and discover the biggest secrets

involving the universe of wands and spells?

You won't want to miss this amazing tour!

5. New World by Chris Weitz

The story has as main characters the friends Dona and Jeff, who narrate the book and portray New York after the attack of a terrible virus that presents great danger and ends up tearing a large part of the population.

So the only survivors are the young people. Familiar, isn't it?

Despite the chaos portrayed in the work, reading is dynamic and fun. The story is very well written and articulated in a way that traps the reader in the so-called “new world”.

Due to the devastation, the city is left without electricity and exempts the remaining portion of the population from the comforts that electric energy provides.

So Dona and Jeff eagerly seek information and a solution to survival. The trilogy is formed by the books: “New World”, “New Order” and “Nova Era”.

So, if you like an overwhelming story, one that transports you to another dimension, this is the right saga!

6. The Hunger Games, by Suzane Collins

If you're also into action-focused literature, you've come to the right trilogy.

Stop wasting time because this story is really sensational. Proof of this is that she inspired the script for one of the most watched movies in the world.

“Various Games” is a trilogy by the American writer, Suzanne Collins, which tells the story of the dispute that took place in a city that was divided between districts and the capital, where each region corresponds to a certain economic activity.

The districts announce war with the capital, but are unsuccessful.

They then move to the strategy of uniting all districts and their representatives in a single lethal game event.

With this, the hunger games are created, a competition in which a single survivor will emerge.

The winner's prize is made up of many luxuries and benefits.

7. Assassin's Creed, by Oliver Bowden

Let's go now to the eighth tip on our list?

The book chronicles the struggle of Rome's superiors for power.

If before the city was dazzling, it becomes a terrible stage of blood in which even among the brotherhood itself the killing takes place, given the madness for power.

The book series is based on the game of the same name. Thus, “Assassin’s Creed” is a historical fiction that narrates with action and detail this historical moment.

The work is signed by Oliver Bowden, the pseudonym of a historian who is very impressive for the incredible research he did for what is one of the best book sagas.

A chilling reading, which reveals the reader's own shadows.

Among the most famous characters we cite Ezio Auditore, born in the city of Florence and who was a true member of the Assassin Order.

In “Assassin's Creed II“, the author continues to get it right and proposes an extremely engaging narrative, proving that this is one of the greatest literary series in the world.

So if you want to delve into the psyche of the desire for power, go for it. This is your saga!

8. Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon

Continuing our list of the best book sagas, we bring our ninth tip: “Outlander: the time traveler”.

Great success also on small screens, the series is made by books filled with fantasy, mystery and also a lot of romance.

Altogether there are eight books that bring historical adventures, lots of action, but with that subtle touch of a fairy tale.

After all, no one is made of iron and we love a great love story too, don't we?

The main characters are Claire and Jamie. She ends up being transported on a journey through time to a time in the past and lives an adventure meeting a great love.

A series of electrifying books that will certainly bring a lot of entertainment to your leisure time.

9. The Witcher, by Andrzej Sapkowski

The eleventh tip on our list is one of the most famous sagas in the world. We're talking about the “The Witcher” book series.

It is played by the wizard Geralt de Rívia, a very reserved individual who has a mysterious past. he also doesn't he stumas to talk a lot about himself and he looks quite somber.

Some people even say that some parts of the book are, in fact, fragments of the life of the author Andrzej Sapkowski.

Although it's a little weird, you also notice in the very first book that the wizard Geralt de Rívia is still quite skillful and full of wit.

The saga "The Witcher" brings a fantasy world and strong influences of mythology in which the protagonist witch Geralt de Rívia is a very well-trained assassin and has the ultimate goal of ending the evil creatures.

The books have been adapted for the screen and can be seen on Netflix. In addition, the series was also an inspiration for game creation.

10. Percy Jackson, by Rick Riordan

Anyone who begins to read the book notices that, at first, Percy Jackson appears to be a normal kid.

However, his ability to get into a mess sets him apart from most guys.

This is how he discovers he is the son of Poseidon, the great god of the seas, and is sent to a camp that unites the children of humans with gods.

As the story unfolds, Percy will do anything to end any chance of war between the gods.

This is another one of the book series that has also been adapted for film.

However, if you already know the movie adaptation, it's time to give the books a try, after all, they narrate the stories in a much more detailed and emotional way.

Each book in the saga offers the chance to follow the thoughts of a teenager who had his normal youth life transformed by the discovery that he is the son of a very powerful god.

Rick Riordan is also known for writing other fantasy books, among them the literary sagas "The Trials of Apollo" and "The Heroes of Olympus".

So if you're looking for betrayals, prophecies, battles and romance, this is one of the book sagas you can't miss in your library!
