Some Reasons Why Not
Hello everyone. I’d like to thank you, as one often should, for taking the time to read this. It really means a lot to me. There are a few things I need to make known about this post before you continue. First, it is, for all intents and purposes, a critical look at the new Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, and while I don’t necessarily intend to spoil the series for those who will watch it or haven’t finished it, I will not shy away from talking about the series as a whole. Second, because of the subject matter that the show addresses, this post is definitely going to be a little more on the somber side. And third, it is important to acknowledge this show not just as a form of entertainment or an interesting story to be told, but as a commentary on our culture’s attitude toward a number of issues, particularly that of mental health. With these things established, let’s talk about some stuff.

3 Reasons Why 'The Gifted' Is a Refreshing New Take on the X-Men Universe
Can a TV series featuring mutants with unique powers but without familiar X-Men characters the likes of Wolverine, Professor X and Magneto be just as engaging? If it's The Gifted, the latest #Marvel TV series based on the X-Men Universe, then yes, it could.

8 Critical Hits & Unfortunate Misfires from 'the Walking Dead' Season 8 Premiere
(Warning: The following article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere.) Before The Walking Dead's Season 8 premiered, almost every cast member from Andrew Lincoln to Danai Gurira had been heralding that fans will be in for a treat as the new season will be "deeply different and unpredictable". And judging by the season premiere on Sunday night - which is also its landmark 100th episode - it was certainly a "different and unpredictable" episode in more ways than one.

'Game of Thrones' Creators Reveal the Secrets Behind Arya and Brienne's Sparring Match
Amidst murmurs of sloppy writing and incredulously quick land/sea/raven travel from disgruntled viewers, one thing that is undeniably impressive about Season 7 of Game of Thrones was the jam-packed memorable fight and battle scenes. Girl power was very much in the forefront and that could not be better demonstrated than the thrilling duel between Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) in "The Spoils of War".

'Big Bang Theory' Star Mayim Bialik Preaches Eco Awareness in Funny New Sodastream Commercial
Due to sprained vocal chords, #MayimBialik is currently unable to speak. Thankfully, her voice was still intact when she was filming a funny new commercial in Kiev, Ukraine, in which she co-stars with actor Kristian Nairn (#Hodor of Game of Thrones fame) and gets to speak about one of her pet subjects: preserving the environment by reducing the use of plastic.

Will DC's 'Legends of Tomorrow' Suffer Without an Evil Rip Hunter?
(WARNING: The following post contains spoilers from DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2.) An evil #RipHunter is arguably the best thing to happen to #LegendsofTomorrow. Compared to the standoffish, self-centered rogue leader in Season 1, the new, broodingly cold-hearted Rip in Season 2 has been a breath of fresh air.

Love, Italian Style: How Did 'The Young Pope' Get Made Without Setting Foot Inside the Vatican?
#HBO's exciting new drama The Young Pope is a visual feast. Not only is #JudeLaw a joy to watch as Pope Pius XIII — the flamboyant and controversial first American Pontiff — but the visually stunning and oh-so-detailed recreation of Vatican City is also one of the show's highlights. As movie and TV filming is strictly forbidden at the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, the fact that the 10-episode series can be convincingly made without having to film in or around the Vatican is an impressive feat in itself.

Glenn Rhee's Top 5 Lines from 'The Walking Dead'
With the Tara episode (#TWD S7E6) , we are almost at the tail-end of the first half of The Walking Dead Season 7. Since the harrowing and heart-breaking premiere, we have seen Carol and Morgan feeling perplexed with King Ezekiel in The Kingdom; Daryl suffering at the hands of the Saviors at the Sanctuary; and Maggie, Sasha and Enid beginning an uncertain life at the Hilltop. As for the people in Alexandria, life has to be at an all-time low so much so that we do not get to see much of any action there after six episodes (barring that extended instalment when Negan came a-visiting.)

'The Fall' of a Serial Killer: Can the Series Survive Without Jamie Dornan?
[Warning! Spoilers galore ahead for #TheFall Season3 ] After binge-watching all six episodes of The Fall Season 3, I'm glad to say that, despite some shortcomings, the suspenseful psychological crime series which tells of a female detective superintendent hunting down a serial killer in Belfast, Northern Ireland wrapped up pretty well. Granted that the over-the-top violence in the finale episode was not pretty to look at, the acclaimed BBC Two series did provide the eagerly-awaited fall - pardon the pun - of the show's protagonist.
