'Doctor Who' Writer Gareth Roberts Tweets Controversial Comments Online
If the Twelfth Doctor from Doctor Who was real, his “attack eyebrows” would certainly be in place if he was aware of a recent development online. A prominent on-and-off member of the BBC show’s production team has come out with some pretty controversial comments regarding transgender women, and fans are understandably furious.

Against all the odds, Wonder Woman saw Diana triumph against the German army as she stormed the trenches, and she also prevailed against the cynical, conniving Ares (David Thewlis). Now though, it appears that she’s won an even more difficult battle…on social media!?

Game Of Clones — Jon Snow Lookalike Is Causing A Stir On Instagram!
While we may not know who Jon Snow's parents are on HBO's Game of thrones, we may just have found another brand of the family tree. If the Instagram of Josiah Martin is anything to go by, then it looks like the "Bastard of Winterfell" has a long lost brother. Under the name "Facialfollicles," Josiah bears more than a slight resemblance to Kit Harington's bearded northerner Jon Snow. Could the surname Martin also be a relation to the book's author, George R.R. Martin? It is all falling into place, but if you still don't believe us...check it out!
Tom ChapmanPublished 6 years ago in GeeksFormer 'Game of Thrones' Star's Instagram Proves He Is Certainly Still Team Daenerys!
The current Aquaman and former Game of Thrones actor, Jason Momoa, has certainly caused a bit of a *erm* stir with his recent Instagram antics. Inbetween gym pics and late night goings on there is a recent undercurrent of love for Emilia Clarke and her character of Daenerys Targaryen. Momoa is clearly struggling to leave his time on HBO's Game of Thrones, and on-screen wife behind...despite her smothering him with a pillow. Khal Drogo may have been killed off all the way back in Season 1, but Momoa's flurry of Instagram activity towards the show has the rumour mill turning for a Khal/Khaleesi reunion - hey, we have already brought back some dead Starks, give someone else a shot!

It should come as little surprise that actor James Woods would have something to say about the newest critical indie darling, Call Me By Your Name. The actor took to Twitter to comment regarding the same sex romance that blossoms between a 24-year-old university student and a 17-year-old.

Nashies are known for their campaign efforts. Their massive unity and petitions were a huge reason why Nashville found a home on CMT after ABC canceled it last year. If any fandom can come together in an effort to be heard, it's the Nashville fandom. That is why on September 4, Nashville fans launched a new campaign titled #ListentoFansCMT.
The Thirteenth Dr. and Sexism
Doctor Who is a popular T.V. series from the BBC. The Doctor has always been played by a male actor since the first Episode; Played by William Hartnell in 1963 to 1966, in the series The Doctor is only called the Doctor because he doesn't give out his first name. He travels through space and time in an old London police box called the Tardis which is much bigger on the inside, so much bigger it has a swimming pool but it’s never showed. When the Doctor arrives you know there’s going to be trouble…Everywhere he goes he's either fighting aliens or saving the planet from doom. He usually has a companion along for the ride and sometimes they even save him. When the Doctor dies he regenerates into a new body. He’s considered the same Doctor but has a whole new body since the old one has died. Some of the characteristics from the old Doctor have changed, and his personality can be slightly different. Every time the Doctor dies and a regenerates there’s a feeling of loss, we have to get used to the new Doctor all over again. But we haven’t been let down, because the creators of the show seem to always have the perfect replacement. Personally, my favorite Doctor’s were played by David Tennant (10th Doctor) and Peter Capaldi (12th Doctor). Since the BBC has reviled that the new Doctor is female played by actress Jodie Whittaker, I’ve noticed a few comments and articles on social media saying a percentage of people were unhappy and calling those people sexist. Do I think its sexist for people not to want a female Doctor? Well, I know there is sexism out there and was feeling a little concerned about the change and I as a Woman. It leaves so many questions. Since the Doctor has always been a male and regenerates as female will she be a whole different person? (What ever happened to the Doctor's daughter Jenny?)
Sonja KellyPublished 7 years ago in GeeksIs Too Much Information Ruining Sci-fi & Superhero Movies?
The "Nerd/Geek" community (my community) is one of the more committed fan bases out there when it comes to their content. It doesn't matter whether it is a rumor of a new TV show coming out or if Superman is going to have a mullet on the new Justice League movie, the community needs to know. This could be either be considered simple curiosity or excitement over something that fans hold dear to their hearts. The problem rises when this mere curiosity or excitement changes into fanatic search and obsessive nitpicking over every single detail of possible information. This brings up the question. Is there such a thing as too much information? Yes, there is. The trailers, the rumors, the pics and of course the never-ending leaks. Too much information (in my personal opinion) can somehow dilute what the movie experiences should be.
J.R. GonzalezPublished 7 years ago in GeeksPink "#FailingBeautifully" At Parenthood
Known for hits like "So What" and "Raise Your Glass," songs which have traditionally encouraged and even celebrated the fierceness of women everywhere, if not everyone's inner party animal, Pink may have once been the last person on Earth that people would have expected to become a role model for working moms. Sure, the rock star has enough money now that she could probably hire several different nannies to look after her two young children, Willow, who's 6, and Jameson, who is around 6 months old now, but it would seem she's still a very present parent in their lives.
