The MCU's biggest movie to date is only a year away from premiering, and while the film will be a culmination of Marvel's 10-year plan for the Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War is still shrouded in mystery. Other than the fact that we know the Avengers are going to reunite to take on Thanos as he assembles the completed Infinity Gauntlet, the plot of the film is unknown.
2016 is almost over, but the most eagerly-anticipated film of the year is yet to be released. Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first ever Star Wars spinoff movie. The pressure's really on Lucasfilm to deliver a blockbuster hit this Christmas, and the studio seems to have learned a lesson from weddings: You need something old, and something new!
Every year, Marvel runs through a sort of cycle. You get the annual event - this year it's "Civil War II" - that changes the shape of the Marvel Universe, allowing a line-wide relaunch. In early July, Marvel start to tease the shape of the next year's comics, in preparation for SDCC. That's just what's happening now; Marvel is drip-feeding information about the next relaunch, dubbed 'Marvel NOW', and so far the teasers seem to bode ill for Iron Man. Here's what we know so far...
2016 is drawing to a close, and fan attention is now turning to next year's slate of superhero films! One of the most exciting of these movies is Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first solo Spider-Man movie to be part of the #MCU. We already know that this version of Spider-Man is very, very different to anything we've seen before; Tom Holland's Peter Parker is younger than both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, and we're set for some high school hijinx with Michael Keaton's Vulture.
20th Century Fox has done an excellent job at marketing Logan. Over the past few months, director James Mangold has been posting various images from the film. And with each new image, fan interest piqued quite a sum. Some were skeptical of the direction of Logan but those fears were definitely quelled with the trailer debut earlier this week.

The most talked-about film of the summer, Suicide Squad promises to be a hit! From that very first offbeat trailer, fans have been eagerly anticipating this film. But one of the most exciting parts of the film is the fact that we have the second appearance of Ben Affleck's Batman - a cameo that promises to be a highlight, if only because Affleck's performance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was so well-received! So what do we know about this cameo?
We're only days away from the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the much-anticipated Harry Potter prequel. This film will take us back to 1926, where we'll meet Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander. It's going to launch a whole new franchise, one that spans no less than five movies, and — according to J. K. Rowling — it's going to tell a 19-year story.
Superhero fans have a lot to look forward to! 2017 will see the release of DC Film's Wonder Woman, giving Gal Gadot a chance to shine. She stole the show in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now it's finally time to see what we dearly hope to be the first female-led superhero blockbuster hit! The trailers to date have been stylish and creative, and DC is to be applauded for giving one of the most powerful female superheroes her own solo film so early on in the #DCEU.
