The Conference Movie Review
This Friday the 13th, Netflix has a fresh horror offering that, while not directly involving Jason Voorhees, is undoubtedly inspired by the iconic slasher. Patrick Eklund’s “The Conference” combines the biting satire of the Triangle of Sadness with the relentless tension of I Know What You Did Last Summer. The film follows a group of corporate workers who find themselves at a company retreat ahead of the launch of a controversial shopping mall project. The mall is set to displace farmers without proper compensation, sparking a string of chaotic and grisly events. What sets Eklund’s film apart is the sheer incompetence of the characters—greedy and morally bankrupt, they bumble through corporate deception, falsifying documents, and pretending that major retailers like IKEA are involved. As tensions rise, so does the body count, with the retreat taking a deadly turn far worse than any corporate team-building activity they could have imagined.

The Batman 2 Is Already Set To Make A Big Change From The Original. AI-Generated.
Although The Batman - Part II won't be out for some time, one significant alteration from the first DC film is known to be in the works. The Batman - Part II is the second installment in Matt Reeves' trilogy of Batman films, which also stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne. The Batman - Part II will not be a part of the new, rebooted series; rather, it will be the newest DC Elseworlds production, similar to Todd Phillips' Joker, even though the DC Universe starts one year earlier, in July 2025.

Movie Review: "Scoop" (2024)
When the case about Prince Andrew’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein broke, I actually think the entire world knew about it at the time. However, not a lot of people knew who was involved in getting that all important interview. One of the most earth-shattering cases to break in modern history (and I don’t know why since everyone and their pet dog knew what kind of vermin Jeffrey Epstein was by the time the prince became involved), it was covered by a few women who went all the way to get answers out of everyone who was around. It was not an easy watch considering the subject matter, but this film is the adaptation of the memoir written by the firm but fair, Sam McAllister - the first one with her foot in the Buckingham Palace door. It is so very important.
