Villainess Review: Princess Audrey (Descendants 3)
I was enamored by the Descendants films before the first one even aired. I saw the preview for this in 2015 and I was all in on the concept: a quartet of offspring from Disney's noted villains. The group was led by Mal (Maleficent's daughter), and consisted of Carlos (Cruella de Vil's son), Jay (Jafar's son), and Evie (the Evil Queen's daughter). So I watched this on Disney Channel on the premiere date in 2015, and I absolutely loved this! The quartet's infiltration into Auradon and their slow and successful attempt at fitting in shined as the focus, and because these villainous offspring were the central protagonists, I figured that, in true Disney fashion, one of the heroic descendants would become villainous.

Villainess Review: Emma Sanders (You Can Never Go Home Again)
I always get excited when a new month begins in the world of Lifetime movies; mainly because each month brings a new theme for its films. Of course, I love the month of March anyway for sports reasons and it's my birth month, but regarding this March, the first Lifetime movie in the year's 3rd month was You Can Never Go Home Again, and it centered on Isabel "Izzy" Fletcher, an artist whose mother, famed artist May Malcolm, tragically passed away. Afterwards, Izzy, her husband Jack Fletcher, and their young daughter, Taylor, move to Jack's hometown of Clinton, Mississippi, and we later see Taylor and Jack being introduced to the former's teacher, Emma Sanders.

Villainess Review: Ashley (Lover's Discretion)
Recently, I watched this movie called, Urban Horror Series, and I actually learned that the film was actually a compilation of five short films with different titles. One of them was titled, Lover's Discretion, and it centered on a married couple, Ashley and Will, dealing with the new normal that we have all been used to as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple had been making love before Ashley makes breakfast, while also ordering Will to wash his hands, mainly due to COVID concerns.

Reviewing a Hat Trick of Villainesses from "Sorority Party Massacre"
I stumbled on to this film, Sorority Party Massacre, expecting a typical low-budget thrill ride, and it did not disappoint. The film kicks off with Holly Fanning being harassed via cellphone by a mysterious killer, who later eliminates Holly, and afterwards, detective William "Bill" Watts is sent to Grizzly Cove to investigate. The order came from Bill's superior (and Holly's father), Captain Dan Fanning, and it's a weird form of punishment--as Bill's anger problems have plagued the department. The investigation leads him to the town's sheriff, Barney P. Lumpkin, Deputy Lang, and what appears to be a lavish sorority house.

Villainess Review: Jade Goddard (Labor, Lies, and Murder)
I had actually known about this movie when it was listed on IMDB under its original title, Deadly Doula; though I wouldn't see an actual preview of the film until New Year's Day, which featured its new title, Labor, Lies, and Murder. The film centers on Hailey Kendricks, who is expecting her first child (a girl) with husband Joe Kendricks. Hailey wants a home birth and is looking for a doula, which leads her to Bea Wexford, a bright young woman who is eager for the opportunity to assist in the birthing process.

Villainess Review: Susanna Williams (Killer Stepmom)
A new year means many things: a new start, new plans, and Lifetime's annual batch of "Deadly Resolutions" films. Though we have been treated to quite a few good films, the one that had me counting down the days until airtime was Killer Stepmom, with the title being one obvious reason. The film centered on Brianna Williams, whose penchant for making up stories has been her undoing at school. As we have quickly seen, Brianna's acting out appears to be due to her parents' divorce, and regarding her parents, Daniel Williams and Annie O'Dowd, they decided that Brianna would be grounded while living in Daniel's home, which for Brianna, also meant the indignity of having to be around Daniel's new wife, Susanna.

Villainess Review: Sylvie Garrett (Mommy, I Didn't Do It)
Hard to believe that it's been five years since the film, Mommy, I Didn't Do It premiered on Lifetime. There are two main things I remember about New Year's Day 2017. One, I was watching a primetime game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions, which the Packers won to clinch the NFC North. The second thing came later in the day; I switched to Lifetime and watched Mommy, I Didn't Do It, which was the sequel to The Wrong Woman, which came out in 2013.

Top 10 Lifetime Villainesses of 2021 (Part II: The Top 5)
As I stated while devising the first half of this top 10 list, picking them out from a very impressive crop of Lifetime film villainesses from this year was very difficult. Despite this, however, I had my top 5 cemented quickly. These five female baddies showed out the most in 2021, making it easy for me to feature them in this list. They are as follows:

Top 10 Lifetime Villainesses of 2021 (Part I: #10 - #6)
I've been a fan and viewer of Lifetime movies for two decades, and I can honestly say that 2021 gave us the best batch of films in a while. It definitely gave us the best collection of villainesses that I have ever seen; very amazing and deliciously evil ones who were played by some immensely talented actresses. I have the unenviable task of picking out the 10 best ones from this year, and it is definitely not easy, but I've managed to do it. This story features the first half of the top 10, and they are as follows:

Top 3 Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Villainesses of 2021
I truly love Hallmark's mystery films with a passion. A new year is upon us, and the month of January often means the beginning of a new year's worth of Hallmark mystery films. There are so many different film series, though the current gold standard out of all of them is the Aurora Teagarden series that stars Candace Cameron Bure as the titular character. The year has seen several other series continue, with examples including the Alison Sweeney--led Chronicle Mysteries series, and Mystery 101, which co-stars Jill Wagner and Kristoffer Polaha. However, Sweeney's other series, Murder, She Baked, did make a return this year under the new banner title, A Hannah Swensen Mystery, and 2021 also saw the possible beginning of another series with the film, Redemption in Cherry Springs, with Rochelle Aytes as the lead.
