Spencer's girlfriend Esme is a live wire on 'General Hospital'

On Thursday's episode of GENERAL HOSPITAL, it was revealed that the nurse who set Ava's car on fire is actually spencer's girlfriend Esme. The young Cassadine prince has been spending a lot of time with Trina and there was never any hint that he was dating anyone else. Now viewers know Esme tried to throw suspicion off of Spencer by making it look as if someone else set Ava's car on fire. She also clearly was trying to be territorial in front of Trina and was surprised that Spencer did not introduce her to or tell his friends about her.

It's obvious that she knows everything Spencer has been up to which means she can blackmail him down the road. Trina was clearly heartbroken because she thought that she and Spencer were getting closer. A GENERAL HOSPITAL preview for Friday shows Laura tell her grandson that he cannot live with his girlfriend. Esme is big trouble and will at some point expose all the dirt on Spencer especially if he continues to express an interest in Trina.

Ava is frightened out of her wits and now has told Kevin that she needs to leave Port Charles. Nikolas is feeling guilty and believes he is wrong about his son. GENERAL HOSPITAL fans were believing that the stalker storyline was almost over and Spencer was about to be exposed. Now instead, Esme has been added to the equation and additional drama is sure to come. Spencer's girlfriend looks like she could give Nelle Benson a run for her money and she will no doubt cause problems in Port Charles.

Esme is portrayed by Avery Kristen Pohl who has an impressive list of credits. These include the television series DIRTY JOHN, THE GLADES, CRIMINAL MINDS, NEVER HAVE I EVER, and THE HARDY BOYS. She also had roles in the TV movies MY DAUGTER'S PSYCHO FRIEND, and EXPECTING AMISH.

Spencer is now in over his head because Esme nows his secrets and she will in time expose him. Laura, Ava, and Kevin will be shocked to realize that Nikolas was right all along. Genie Francis announced last week that she was taking the summer off from GENERAL HOSPITAL but it's heading towards the last weeks in August. The ABC soap tapes at least 4- weeks in advanse so it's not clear yet when she will no longer be on screen. There is no way to know at this point if Spencer and Esme will be exposed while Laura is off screen or when she returns.

Spencer had a lot of nerve leading Trina on when he had a girlfriend stashed away. It has yet to be revealed why she left France and got a job at GENERAL HOSPITAL. This was definately an unexpected twist to the storyline so viewers will need to be on the lookout for more information regarding Esme. She and Spencer are clearly sleeping togeter based on the fact that he wants her to live with him. Trina is just graduating high school and clearly does not seem ready for a serious romance.

When the truth is revealed about Spencer and his girlfriend it will send shock waves throughout Port Charles. Trina may not want anything to do wit him when all the facts come out and Esme is long gone. Spencer should have come clean and revealed his accomplice. Instead he continues to play games with his father. A number of those who watch GENERAL HOSPITAL have said they cannot get used to Nicholas Chavez and the storyline he has been given will not win him any friends. Terrorizing Ava, lying to his father, and misleading Trina are bad enough but dating a psycho who is similar to Nelle Benson is a bit much.
