Skyle fans await news of final scenes on 'The Young and the Restless'

There was a time when soap stars rode the wave of their fame but not anymore. Contract negotiations can cause fan favorite soap vets to walk away leaving viewers distressed. This is what is currently being reported about Michael Mealor and Hunter King who portray King Abbott and Summer Newman on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. <ealor has confirmed his exit and spoilers suggest his last scenes will be this week or the next. Hunter King has remained silent but it is believed she is the disgruntled soap star who was reported to be walking away.

On Monday's episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Phyllis was in tears when she learned that her daughter was not coming back to Genoa City. Jack was also troubled to find out that his son is remaining in Italy with Summer. Skyle fans are waiting on news related to the final scenes of the couple and wondering if there will be anything memorable that will take place. Kyle wants to bring Harrison to live in Mila n and viewers are curious how it all will turn out.

Ashland Locke says he is seeking treatment for his terminal illness which some Y&R viewers believe he is faking. When Richard Burgi began this role it was reported that he would only be on the CBS soap through the Summer. Perhaps his time is up and he might die suddenly leaving Victoria stunned. If Locke passes away this would leave Kyle as the only parent to care for Harrison. Unless his contract is extended the actor will be on his way out.

Viewers have been so caught up in thinking he is scamming Victoria that this possibility has not been explored. Tara is in jail so if Ashland passes away Skyle can send for Harrison and live happily ever after offscreen. Whatever is going to happen is being kept under wraps and everyone is trying to figure it out. Skyle's departure has broken the heart of their parents but only Nick seems to be holding up well under the pressure.

At some future date, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will probably recast Kyle and Summer and have them return to Genoa City but that will not be anytime soon. In the meantime, Phyllis is coming down from her high after being right about Tara and Sally. She is also distressed about her daughter remaining in Italy. Some spoilers suggest that she and Jack will cry on each other's shoulders while others have teased that Jack and Lauren might end up having an affair.

Nick and Phyllis as well as Jack and Lauren are all dealing with losses because Summer was run out of town. On Tuesday Phyllis was having a hard time understanding why Summer does not want to return to Genoa City. She cried as she talked to Nick about all of Jack's problems. Phyllis said that Jack was losing Kyle, being sued by Theo, and may lose Harrison as well. She pointed out that Jack wanted Kyle to run Jabot with him as he had done with his father John.

Jack spent time with Harrison in the park and told the little bo he would never stop loving him no matter where he moved to. Skyl remaining in Milan means that Jabot and JCV are both missing top executives and there is currently no one on the canvas to fill these positions. Some of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS viewers have suggested that Gloria Bardwell come back on the scene. Judith Chapman returned some months back but was only seen for a few episodes.

Sally Spectra set all the drama in motion for Kyle and Summer and it looks like she will bounce back quickly. On Tuesday's episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Sally connects with Chloe and finds out about the connection to Lauren but does not disclose the fact that she was fired. Phyllis and Kevin both warn Chloe away from Ms. Spectra but she does not appear to be listening.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Jack shared Kyle's proposal with Ashland regarding Harrison going to live in Italy. Locke referred to Kyle and Summer as two kids who have no parenting experience. This man is not going to send his son halfway around the world but something has got to give. Ashland will soon see an oncologist so perhaps this is when he gets the news regarding his condition.

All of these loose ends being wrapped up are bringing THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to the point where Michael Mealor and Hunter King will no longer be seen. Whatever happens with Harrison will probably be the final issue before they are gone for good.
