Simpsons Predicted Shiba Inu Coin

Are the writers of the Simpsons time travelers or what?

The Simpsons, the long long-running animated comedy series never seems to disappoint its viewers when it comes to some of its most accurate predictions to date. The Simpsons episodes are filled with tons of easter eggs & references to modern-day culture following the Simpson family around Springfield. Yet many of the viewers watching the show find out some events that were predicted in these episodes really happened years later after airing.

What do the writers really know? Are we being controlled & are being told the story of life within The Simpsons?

The Simpsons Predictions

As we know the Simpsons are really accurate with their predictions. Some notably being that of Lady Gaga at the Superbowl for example. According To Karina Kosmala (2022), The Simpsons Superbowl episodes included a prediction of a musical artist’s performance. In the 2012 episode “Lisa Goes Gaga,” (season 23, episode 22), Lady Gaga visits Springfield and performed her songs while flying over an audience, and at one point, played the piano during her concert.

In 2017, Gaga performed at the Superbowl LI Halftime Show performing her greatest hits including “Poker Face,” and “Bad Romance.” During her halftime show performance, Gaga was lifted above the audience. Later in the show, she also played “A million Reasons,” on the piano.

That’s one of them & there are also multiple others such as the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center, Donald Trump becoming the U.S. President, Pandemics & so much more.

Shiba Inu Coin Simpsons Prediction

One prediction that’s on many people’s minds is around the meme cryptocurrency called, ‘Shiba Inu Coin’.

According To Investopedia Team (2022), Shiba Inu is an Ethereum-based altcoin that features the Shiba Inu hunting dog as its mascot. It is widely considered to be an alternative to Dogecoin and is touted as “the Dogecoin killer” by its supporters, a community known as the SHIBArmy. Shiba Inu was created in August 2020 by an individual or group called Ryoshi. Shiba Inu’s price peaked more than tenfold on Oct. 29, 2021, giving it a market capitalization of $41 billion. Even with a steep drop in market cap to today’s $16 billion (as of Feb. 14, 2022), Shiba Inu still ranks in the top ten among all meme cryptocurrencies by this measure.

With this being said a video surfaced on a video sharing platform called YouTube which shows an episode where the Simpsons give a subtle nod at the meme crypto coin called Shiba Inu Coin.

Cryptocurrency seems to be mentioned all through some Simpsons episodes most notably that of being Bitcoin. In this episode, we see many mentions of Crypto coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, also Amazon & even Shiba Inu Coin.

The episode we are talking about is called “Frinkcoin” which is the 13th episode of the thirty-first season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It aired in the United States on Fox on February 23, 2020. The episode was written by Rob LaZebnik and was directed by Steven Dean Moore.

The Simpson family are eating at The Lentil Institution, a vegan restaurant, vying for Lisa to choose them for her “Most interesting person I know” paper, but she chooses Professor Frink, devoted to helping the world through science. At Springfield University, Lisa visits and interviews him. After explaining the story of his life, Frink says he is developing a new cryptocurrency, Frinkcoin.

Frinkcoin becomes famous and Frink becomes the richest man in town, enraging Mr. Burns. Satoshi Nakamoto makes a guest appearance behind Bear Wall. Frink however feels empty inside, so Lisa tries to help him. He moves from his university office to Chicago but still feels sad. Marge suggests Homer takes him to Moe’s Tavern. Frink aces Moe’s trivia questions and earns the respect and friendship of the barflies. He begins taking them to Springfield’s finest establishments.

Smithers assembles a team to create Burns Coin and develop a formula to devaluate Frinkcoin, but the calculations would take thousands of years. Burns decides to break Frink’s spirit instead, showing Frink that his new friends only like him for his money. Burns brings the equation to the center of town for an instant crowdsourcing solution. Meanwhile, Frink tests the sincerity of his friends; all of them fail.

A solution to the equation gets posted on the whiteboard; Lisa realizes that it was posted by Frink himself, losing all his money in the process, and they become best friends. In the end, he returns to the university and kisses the professor whose office he shares.

The most noteworthy thing that happened in this episode is the Simpsons' nod to the meme cryptocurrency Shiba Inu Coin. In the newspaper we see Professor Frink show Lisa Simpson in the episode we see what appears to be the face of Shiba Inu Coin. Whether this is a nod to the Shiba Inu Coin crypto or an archived moment from the episode this is still a great moment for the Simpsons.

Also, a moment near the ending we see a piece of code on the whiteboard which is shown to the town in the episode with tons of crypto assets and one of which being the meme cryptocurrency Shiba Inu Coin.

With this being said the Simpsons predict so many things & the moment in this episode was such a great point & nod towards Shiba Inu Coin. Even if this was an archived scene for the Simpsons it’s just great how the Simpsons can predict so much.
