The Shark Tank Deal That Made Them HEATED

Shark Tank is one of those shows you wouldn’t expect something crazy to happen on. But what happened on this episode of Shark Tank was so unexpected to where even Barbara Corcoran literally was out on this stupendous investment.

Shark Tank which Premiered in 2009, ABC’s entrepreneur pitch show Shark Tank has seen it all. The whole point of the show, which is now in its 13th season at the time of this article, is simple: inventors and Entrepreneurs pitch their products to real-life investors (called Sharks). The Sharks evaluate the products and decide whether to back the companies with their own money or to say they’re out of the deal for a certain reason.

With this being said Shark Tank has seen many great Entrepreneurs shine light on great products and capture stunning investments to scale their businesses. However, there are tons of downright horrible pitches that honestly shouldn’t have made it on the Tank.

With horrible presentations, you could expect great embarrassment from the Entrepreneurs and just cringe every time you hear how horrible the pitch is. Sometimes it’s hard to fathom the things people come up with.

Well in this case the pitch wasn’t bad at all and it was a great pitch that honestly left the Sharks trying to all get a piece of this deal but fighting for what would be the best deal and in this case, things got heated in the tank, here’s what happened…

The Pitch

Christopher Gray who’s the founder of a smartphone software called Scholly makes it easier for kids to discover college scholarships, which was pitched on Shark Tank episode 617.

He was driven to develop the app after receiving multiple scholarships above $1 million. While he was in high school, the Drexel University graduate’s mother lost her job to pay much debt.

Gray and two classmates founded Scholly and were awarded nearly $1.3 million in scholarships to pay for his studies at University.

The Scholly app is the main core of the company’s operations. Gray opted to build the app because nearly one-fourth of all people use their mobile phones to access the internet.

Christopher who’s founder of Scholly comes in with a demand for $40,000 in exchange for a 15% stake in his business. He then explains everything about the business.

The concept appeals to Robert. Mr. Wonderful is quite curious about the scholarship selection process.

The whole concept of the app interests Lori. Mark wants to know more about it, which causes a disagreement between the Sharks. Lori makes Christopher an offer of $40,000 in exchange for 15% of the business which is exactly what was asked.

Daymond offers to come along on the deal with Lori and puts up $20k of his own money for the cause and Mark has lost his cool.

Christopher would like to learn about other possible offers. Mark and Robert are curious about the algorithm which is used in the backend.

The Shark Tank Fight

Lori is relentless in her efforts to persuade Christopher to agree because Christopher is just right there trying to see other offers that might be good. Mr. Wonderful considers their offer to be a gesture of goodwill and basically accepts the offer going with Lori & Daymond's offer.

A few minutes after the pitch Robert gets furious with Lori, telling her that “this is Shark Tank, not a charity tank.” Robert resented it when people begged for a break from him.

Daymond and Lori defended their guts on what such a great deal this was. It was a great fight. Robert stands up and walks away out of the Tank pissed.

Lori believes Mark and Mr. Wonderful are ungrateful because they don’t like getting the short end of the stick.

Mark Cuban basically wanted to see more of a better deal because this was not the one he believed was a good fit for Lori & Daymond.

Kevin then makes his way out of the tank, and Mark follows behind him.

Daymond & Lori sits back and chills with such excitement as they just got the best deal from their end.

Things honestly got out of control there & watching that Shark Tank episode was so great! Honestly, Shark Tank is one of those shows that’s iconic in the business world, and to see a bunch of rich people fighting over a small deal like this was really entertaining.
