Hello everyone! My name is Brandon and this is a story idea that I've been thinking about writing out for awhile. Figured now's as good a time as ever. hope you all enjoy and will be getting up the next chapter as soon as I can so keep an eye out for it!

Long ago, the Olympian gods watched over all of man. Guiding them, teaching them, challenging them. But as the years went by the humans slowly turned away from the gods. stopped praying to them, forgot them. Slowly but surely the Gods began to lose their power. growing weaker and weaker. As they did, the only god that did not was Thanatos, the god of death. In fact he was growing stronger, as the population of the humans continued growing and growing. With his powers growing and the others waning, he felt the time of the gods was over and began to eliminate them one by one.

With Thanatos beginning to eliminate his crusade, the gods devised a plan. Using Athena's wisdom, and Hermes's Gauntlet, they planned to transfer their souls to earth. They would lie in wait among the humans to one day be reawakened and defeat Thanatos. Unfortunately that plan was not meant to be so.

They were down to only a few gods left. Athena, clad in golden armor with blue cloth draped over her shoulder and a blue shield on her back. Zeus, wearing silver armor with white cloth hanging around his chest in the style of a lightning bolt. Hermes, adorning white and yellow short robes with golden gauntlets on both of his arms and wings sandals on his feet. and Ares, sporting heavy black and orange armor, with a black cape and heavy spartan-looking helmet on his head with a large metal mallet in his right hand. They encircled a shining golden throne, large hall of light and silver. Loud crashes can be heard from the far end of the room. "We must hurry!" Hermes urged as he and Athena began inscribing the runes for a spell onto what looked to be an archway. As they finished, a portal opened and a bright blue sky appeared within it. Ares tossed his hammer up and down in his hand as he stared at the door across the way. "This is ridiculous." he mutters as he turns and faces the other gods. "We have the last and most powerful of the gods here. We can take him!".

Ares begins to walk towards the far door when a hand grabs his shoulder. Ares looks behind him to see Zeus holding him back. "This is not a fight that we can win now, Ares.", Zeus says as he lifts a hand to Ares head and lighting sparks to Ares temple. Ares eyes light up and he slumps to the ground. " But one day we will take back Olympus".

Athena and Hermes rush to Ares. Zeus looks down at them. "Take his soul first. He will be most troublesome should Thanatos make it here before we can all leave."

"Oooooh to late for that, little gods". A dark, echoing, and bellowing voice echos through the hall as the light slowly dimmed and the silver around the far door and through the hall began to decay. The door at the far end decayed from the the center outward as a tall, black, cloaked and hooded figure, with stripes of white across like a zebra, entered the hall. As he crossed the threshold of the doorway, black smoke spread from his back like angelic wings that spread out-stretched to both sides.

Zeus walks towards Thanatos slowly, lightning sparking throughout his body. "Go now", He says as he looks back to Athena and Hermes. "I will hold him for as long as I can and follow you.". Zeus turns back to Thanatos and holds up his arms. Hermes and Athena drag Ares to the altar as the room lights up and lightning emerges from the ground, forming a sort of chain fence halfway across the room. he claps his hands together and the fences splits into five separate fences that span thee room towards Thanatos.

Thanatos chuckles as he slowly walks towards the first fence. "Come now, dear king of the gods.". He outstretches a hand and grasps the fence. Lightning courses through his hand to the rest of his body, but slowly fizzles out and the fence dissipates. "Death come to all things in many different forms. even lightning," he holds up his gloved hand that has torn cloth and burned skin and it heals and the cloth regrows covering his hand, "runs out of energy at some point. Even light will be consumed by the shadow.".

Athena and Hermes drop Ares before the portal and and knee beside him, one on each side. Athena looks at Hermes. "The time is now". Hermes Looks at Athena. He then glances to Zeus, who is shooting lightning at the fences, strengthening them to slow down Thanatos. Hermes looks back to Athena and nods, knowing what he must do.

He holds out his closed hand over Ares, where a golden gauntlet that has 5 gems imbedded at each knuckle and one at the center of the back of his hand, is adorned around his wrist. Four of the gems are dark but the one at his pinky glows a bright blue. Hermes opens his hand and the gauntlet glows. Ares body shimmers with a bright orange glow. A orange orb floats out from Ares mouth and is absorbed into the ring finger gem. The gem glows bright orange.

Thanatos Approaches the 4th fence. "This is all getting very tiring Zeus" he cackles as he stops walking. He raises his hands and removes his hood from his head. A mans head appears from beneath it as the hood is removed. His face is that of a young man and his hair was colored black and yellow in the form of what looked to be a whirlpool. He Smirks as he outstretches his right hand and smokes fills it. "You cannot delay the inevitable. Death will come for you all. " A scythe appears in his hand. He lifts the Weapon and grabs it with both hands. "And in your death, I shall gain even more power!" He swipes across his body and the last two remaining fences dissipate and Zeus is thrown backwards, landing on his stomach.

Zeus lifts his head slowly in a daze as Athena's body slumps over and a white orb absorbs into the gem of the pointer finger. Hermes looks to Zeus, slowly standing up. " Ah!" Thanatos exclaims in surprise. " So you seeks to reincarnate yourselves amongst the humans and bide you time. A clever game of hide and seek I see. Unfortunately..." Thanatos Lifts his left hand and outstretches a finger. he flicks the finger up. A black mist-like scythe appears and stabs Hermes through the back. "NO!" Zeus cries holding his hand out to Hermes. Hermes clutches the edge of the scythe protruding from his chest then goes lifeless. As he does the gauntlet falls to the floor. As it hits the floor, a red glow surrounds Hermes and a red orb flies out of his mouth and is absorbed into the middle gem. Zeus crawls to it as Thanatos walks slowly toward him.

Zeus reaches out to the gauntlet but a black mist envelopes it and lifts it into the air. Thanatos outstretches his hand and runs his finger around each of the gems. They flicker as it passes over each of them. " All for nothing my old friend. I told you. death comes for us..." he adorns it onto his right arm and opens his hand over Zeus. Zeus glows and goes lifeless as a yellow orb leaves his body and is absorbed into the final gem that would be at the center of the back of his hand.. "All" his voice echoing through the empty hall. Thanatos looks at the gauntlet with all 5 gems glowing. "What a waste and a shame. To be the creators of these mortals to only be diminished to this. Hence why the weak must always perish to the..." The gauntlet flies from his hand to the portal as a armored black hand reaches out from it.

The portal turns from it's bluish glow to a dark blackish red. A tall black figure clad in black horned armor adorned with tattered robes armed with a bident on his back and a helmet in his left hand as he emerges from the portal. He has long black hair and has a long vertical scare over his right eye. As he crosses the threshold of the portal, it turns back to blue. "My brother Hades. How good of you to join us. saves me the time to hunt you down and finish you off from where we left off". Thanatos spins his scythe in his hand over his head. Hades dons his helmet, that has a very visible break in the face shielding wear his scar is, and slides the gauntlet into a sac on his belt. He grabs his bident from his back and kicks up Athena's shield into his left hand, assuming a spartan-like battle stance. " You will find it to be much tougher than last time to defeat me this time, Thanatos."

Thanatos lunges forward, swiping his scythe left and right. Hades blocked and dodged these rapid swipes with ease and counterattacked with the bident each chance he could. But Thanatos was too fast and Hades was not used to fighting with Athena's shield. Thanatos locked his scythe blade under the shield and flipped it over his head, tearing the shield out of hades' hand. Thanatos spun his scythe around and stabbed Hades through his right bicep, causing cry out in pain, drop his bident, grab his arm in pain, and fall to his knee's.

Thanatos slowly struts' around hades, like a lion looking for a chance to land the killing blow. Hades keels over, holding his arm, As he's bent over, he covers his right hand covering that it's reaching into the sac on his belt and pulls out a piece of metal from it. Thanatos raises his hand and a black mist rises from the ground, grabbing Hades by the neck and lifting him into the air. Hades gasps for air as he floats off the ground.

"So. This is the power of the lord of the underworld? Not impressed." Thanatos walks up to Hades and lowers Hades to his face level. "Goodbye, last god of Olympus. I will say our fight was the most entertaining for me." Hades rotates his left hand around and the bident on the ground begins to float as Thanatos backs away and raises his scythe. Hades waves his hand quickly from left to right and the bident flies through the arm of the smoke holding Hades in the air, catching Thanatos off guard pinning him to the wall by his right arm. Hades falls to the ground, slowly getting up and rubbing his neck. Thanatos roars in anger and pulls at the bident.. Hades raises the piece of metal to his helmet, connecting it, causing him to disappear. Thanatos, surprised, scans the room quickly as the the weapons and bodies of the fallen god's fly towards the portal, disappearing within it.

"You are right, Thanatos. This is goodbye. For now. For we will Bide our time, regain our strength, and take back our home. So enjoy your victory while you can". the bident flies from the wall and slides into the portal. Thanatos lunges at the portal. "For you won the battle, but have yet to win this war". The portal closes and Thanatos slams into the wall, punching it several times and roaring in rage, his roar echoing in the empty hall.

Several thousand years pass. A man clad in black leather, atop of a motorcycle, is observing a fight in a school yard where two teenagers are fighting. He pulls up his sleeve and taps the bracelet around his wrist. the bracelet has 5 gems adorned around it and the light blue and orange gems flash their respective colors. "Interesting". he begins to roll down his sleeve when the red orb flashes as a teenage girl runs past him, dressed in a track suit. The biker tilts his head in curiosity. He looks again and another gem flashes white. He looks around and see's one final teen girl walking from the school's front door carrying books. "Very interesting indeed." He takes on last glance at the gauntlet but the final gem stays dark. He shakes his head and rolls down his seat. He starts up his bike and drives away.
