GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are wondering whether Peter August is down for the count and if Wes Ramsey is leaving the ABC soap. According to Soap Dirt, he inked his first contract in November 2017 which leaves him 6 months to go. This is no guarantee that the powers that be won't let him go before his time is up but it looks like his character has come to the end of the road. Even if he survives his tumble down the stairs at GH there is now evidence for many of his crimes.

After several years of dastardly deeds, it seems the deck is finally stacked against Faison's son but GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers know the writers could be setting them up. There was never proof positive that Henrik murdered Drew Cain and attempted to kill Franco and Andre Maddox but his recent activities have been recorded by witnesses. Fans were hoping that the Drew memories would come to light but Franco was killed off. There are now other Port Charles residents who will be the ones to bring him to justice if he survives his fall.

Maxie only told half of the story of her birth

Gladys Corbin gave a statement to Jordan indicating that it was Peter she saw dispose of the gun that was used to kill Franco. Maxie recorded her conversation with him and sent a copy to Mack. While they chatted Peter admitted that he had to get rid of the real Chloe Jennings so this suggests that she is indeed dead. Maxie gave a spectacular performance by beginning her conversation with Peter as if she was victimized by Chloe and pretended to be stunned by Chloe saying that Peter was the mastermind behind the entire kidnapping.

Maxie said that she knew Peter would never hurt her or Louise and even allowed him to hug her. When he said he would find their baby no matter what he had to do Maxie asked him to let the PCPD do their job. Peter blurted out that Chloe was not the real name of the nurse and Maxie asked how he knew that. She then turned the tables on the stunned Mr. August and told him how she really felt. She berated him for having her kidnapped and putting their child in danger and she kept calling him Henrick.

Maxie told her former fiance that she pretended to care for him and could not stand being in the same room with him. She called him a demented son of a bitch then told him that everyone knows he is the one who murdered Drew as well as Franco. Maxie put the icing on the cake by adding that Faison was an evil genius and Peter is a cheap knockoff. No matter how cruel Maxie was it seemed to not sink into Peter who promised to find baby Louise and bring her back to her mother.

Is nurse Chloe really dead?

It appears that all the ducks are in a row and lining up but GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers love Wes Ramsey and don't want to see him leave the soap. Peter is also behind Chase being poisoned and along with 3 murders, it does not seem likely that he won't be sent to Pentonville. If he escapes and leaves town this will be troubling to the fans who want this character to stick around but how could he be exonerated for so many crimes?

GENERAL HOSPITAL has already used the brain tumor to explain Franco's actions so it's not likely that they will do it again with Peter. Is there any possible way that this character can be redeemed? Will Peter survive his injuries and can Anna and Finn find a way to save Chase? Will Maxie let anyone know about Dr. Austin or tell the truth about what happened to Chloe? The clock is ticking and time is running out so stay tuned. Peter is down and he is bleeding from a head wound but he should not be counted out just yet.
