Nurse Jennings mystery on 'General Hospital'

'GENERAL HOSPITAL' continues to surprise viewers as the second week of May sweeps arrived. There is now a mystery surrounding the baby nurse that Maxie hired and viewers are eager to figure out what is really going on. Last week Peter took photos of the information that Maxie left lying on her table about the woman she chose to help her during the last weeks of her pregnancy. During Monday's episode, Peter met with this female who he referred to as Nurse Jennings.

At the end of Monday's episode, Mr. August was standing near a trash dumpster removing gloves and disposing of Nurse Jenning's ID. Viewers are wondering if he made her an offer she could not refuse and she left town knowing someone had taken on her identity or if she has been disposed of? If Peter did away with the real Chloe Johnson, her body might surface at some point and could easily be identified with DNA.

On Tuesday a different female claiming to be Chloe Johnson met with Maxie who has no clue what her fiancee has been up to. There is no mention of the name of the actress who portrayed the real Nurse Jennings on Monday and who is in the photo on the left. The female who now has the role is Kimberly J Brown who is in the image on the right. Brown should not be confused with Kimberlin Brown who now goes by Kimberlin Brown Pelzer and portrayed the sinister Sheila Carter on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Kimberlin would indeed make the perfect evil nurse but not this time.

Kimberly J Brown will be familiar with many soap fans as she portrayed Marah Lewis for many years on GUIDING LIGHT and had scenes with fellow GH cast members Laura Wright, (Carly) and Cynthia Watros, (Nina). Earlier spoilers had said that Brown's GENERAL HOSPITAL character would be a heroine but right now she is doing the bidding of Peter August. Perhaps in time, she may end up helping Maxie with her plan to keep her baby away from her psychopath father.

The plot now thickens around the birth of baby Lu and the switch off with BLQ when is faking a pregnancy. Dr. Britt Westbourne is on the run with and falling hard for Jason Morgan. They have hidden out in one of Sonny’s safe houses and presently staying in a barn on the Cassadine property. Dr. Westbourne is afraid her connection to Nikolas might cause the police to show up so the duo will need to be on the run again. This leaves Maxie with no one to turn to except BLQ and Nurse Jennings. Kristina Wagoner who portrays Felicia is supposed to return to GENERAL HOSPITAL on Friday, May 21 and fans are hoping she will stick around and assist her daughter during her time of need.

It’s not clear what Peter’s motives are in switching nurses but viewers know he is up to no good. Mr. August might decide he wants the nurse to steal his child from her mother and bring the baby to him. Peter may decide to raise the child himself far away from Port Charles. He might have other plans but the bigger question is if Chloe Jennings will be lured by Peter into becoming Nurse Rachett or if she will become a heroine and save the day?

BrownThe GENERAL HOSPITAL writers have been one step ahead of eagle-eyed viewers during this entire storyline. Fans initially believed that Britt would give Maxie’s baby to someone out of town and the child might not have shown up until years later. Next, it was assumed that Brook Lynn’s baby and Maxie’s child would be switched at birth. Now that Nurse Chloe is involved and Peter is plotting, it’s not really clear what will happen. Some viewers are saying that Valentin does not deserve the pain he is going to endure when the truth is revealed. This is a pretty cruel scam that BLQ came up with.

GENERAL HOSPITAL is keeping viewers guessing during May Sweeps and fans are enjoying the intrigue. There have been no details regarding how long Kimberly Brown will remain with the ABC daytime drama. If she turns out to be a heroine, perhaps she can get a job with the hospital when all of this is said and done. Be on the lookout for updates related to Peter, Maxie, BLQ and Nurse Jennings.
