Wiley might be his grandma’s saving grace.

Monday on General Hospital, Nina Reeves found proof that validates the truth about her long lost daughter. She opened a box of Nelle’s belongings and found a photo of Ms. Benson when she was a child. In the picture Nelle is wearing the half heart locket which is identical to the one that Nina owns. This is a crushing blow and Nina has no one to turn to. She is angry at both Jax and Valentin for trying to control her life and will be in this all alone. She could always talk to her good friend Curtis but he is dealing with his own personal problems. There are so many layers to this situation that Nina might need therapy to sort through it all. The one thing that may give her comfort is her grandson Wiley.

While she was pregnant and in a coma, Nina’s mother had labor induced. When her daughter was born Madeline had nurse Phyllis to give the child to a couple for adoption. Nelle had been in Port Charles for a few years but did nothing but cause problems. Nina felt a connection to her and even hired her at Crimson. She later gave testimony that caused Nelle to lose custody of her son Wiley. Nina is hurt that she missed the opportunity to bond with her child. She is angry that Nelle’s life was such a mess. As she grieves over what has been lost, a day will come when Ms. Reeves realizes the precious jewel that is still in her life, her grandson.

Nina know Nelle was her daughter

Through Wiley, Nina will always have a piece of Nelle. When the dust settles she will desire to spend time with her daughter’s only child. Nina will reflect upon the fact that her adopted child grew up without her and now Wiley will not have his birth mom to raise him. There will be tension, more so with Carly than Michael, or Willow when Nina demands access to her grandchild. Wiley has had a tough time from the day he was born in the woods. He was given to Brad who was raising him with Lucas. Next he is in the custody of Michael and Willow. The child goes from Julian Jerome being his grandfather to having the Corinthos and Quartermaine clans doting over him.

Now there will be another shift with Nina coming into his life. If Michael and Willow go through with filing the annulment papers, Eiley will no longer have his stepmom on hand on a regular basis. Nina will be overbearing, demanding, and clingy as she attempts to bond with her grandson. She will also have to deal with the fact that she is part of the reason his mother lost custody of him. Some spoilers have suggested that Ms. Reeves might go so far as to try to keep Carly away from the grandson their share.

Carly and Jax are in trouble with Nina.

General Hospital might even revisit the details surrounding Nelle’s death. Carly could eventually face murder charges. Nelle’s death was an accident but Carly’s hesitation might have made the difference between her living or dying. In the midst of all the confusion, Valentin might try to take advantage of the situation. If Nina let’s him back into her life, he might even push her to sue for custody of Wiley. However this plays out, Nina will need to spend time with her grandson. She will be desperate to love and hold onto the motherless child.

Perhaps her affection for Wiley might stop some of her other impulses for revenge. On the other hand her grandchild could be the motivating factor for Nina to lash out and hurt Carly and Jax. The one thing that is absolutely clear is that at some point, Nina Reeves will have an epiphany. She will clear her head just enough from her grief over Nelle, to process that her daughter’s son needs her. More importantly Nina will realize that she needs him even more. Be on the lookout for spoilers and breaking news related to what happens next for Nina and Wiley. Nurse Phyllis is on hand and may be able to fill in some clues so stay tuned.
