Megan Hathaway Dimera: All you need to know

Days of Our Lives Beyond Salem 2 stunned fans when it was announced that Steve Burton would reprise his role as Harris Michaels an insignificant teenage character who did not have ties to Salem. Now fans know that Michaels is working with Miranda Wilson's allegedly deceased alter-ego Megan Dimera who has not been seen since 1989.

The show promised a blast from the past that longtime viewers would remember and now know they what it is. it's the rivalry between Megan and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) for the man they both loved. Beyond Salem really threw viewers for a loop when Wilson showed up as Megan Hathaway Dimera the daughter of Stefano Dimera (Joe Moscola).

Megan arrived in Salem in 1984 with her adopted father Maxwell Hathaway (Tom Hallick) and had been Bo Brady's (Peter Reckell) high school sweetheart. She broke his heart because she stopped responding to his letters and phone calls. Bo was so deeply hurt that he was initially unable to fully commit to Hope. He did not desire to be hurt again and this kept Bope apart for quite some time.

Megan's obsession with Bo

Meanwhile, Megan believed Bo was no longer interested in her because he never answered her letters. They finally realize that her mother was keeping them apart and Megan became obsessed with getting Bo back. She told him that after he left town she realized she was pregnant with his baby. She says she gave the child up for adoption after her letters were unanswered, and her mother convinced her it was the right thing to do.

At first, Bo has compassion for his ex but he begins to doubt her story after his brother Roman Brady (Wayne Northrop) reveals he had seen Megan in an abortion clinic. Meanwhile, Bo pretends that he desires to help Megan find their adopted child, and their search leads them to New Orleans.

Megan has conspired to have someone named Diane murdered so she can steal her child, to pass off as Bo's. She set up fake adoptive parents who allow Bo and Megan to take 'their' child back. Bo saves Diane from being murdered and decides to go along with Megan's scheme in order to stay close to her and also to get to Stefano.

Megan is murdered by Larry Welch (Andrew Masset) after she realizes he is in a plot with the Russians to blow up Salem. Welch is in possession of three prisms that Stefano needs to cure his brain tumor so he will not die. Megan is desperate to help her father and gets into an altercation with Welch.

After killing her he dumps her body in a hot tub where Megan had planned to kill Hope. Ironically it is Hope who finds a very dead Megan and is initially suspected of being the murderer. Now she is back and Michaels seems to be her henchman as he kidnapped John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols)on her behalf.

What is Megan up to and how does Harris fit in?

The question now is regarding the relationship between Harris and Hope. Is he using her and does Megan have an ulterior motive for her rival for Bo or does Hope know what is going on and is just playing along? Where has she been and what has she been up to and why is she causing problems now?

How did Megan and Harris get together as she was prsumably dead when he was a teen in Salem? By the time you read this another episode of Beyond Salem, 2 will have aired and you might already have some of the answers so stay tuned.
