I have watched Married of First Sight since it premiered on July 8, 2014. I have seen some husbands who have behaved badly on the show. I personally think they belong in the "Hall of Shame" for some of the mean things they said and did. My opinion is not because they decided to divorce after being married for eight weeks. My opinion is based on how they treated their wives by their words and deeds. All of the following men verbally abused their wives, manipulated them, and disrespected them.

1. Chris Williams

Chris Williams from Season 12 tops my list of worst husbands during 14 seasons of the reality show. He married Paige Banks at the altar and consummated their married hours later. They were intimate three times on their wedding night. The following morning, Chris told Paige that he was not attracted to the way she looks. Then he told her he had broken an engagement a few weeks before marrying her, and his ex-fiancé was pregnant with his child.

During the eight weeks, Paige tried to be a good wife to Chris, but he kept giving reasons to seal his position at the top of the worst husband list. Because his ex-fiancé was pregnant, he bought her a Mercedes so she would have a safe car for his baby.

Chris was aware that he was described as the worst husband. He posted on social media that he was handing over his title to Johnny Lam from Season 13 because he thought Johnny treated Bao Huong Hoang worse than he treated Paige. Chris posted, “I’m so sorry that Bao is going through this, but Johnny can have the worst husband ever title in MAFS universe!”

Viewers who read Chris' comment disagreed with him. They told him he deserves to Chris keep his title.

The rest of the husbands are listed but not ranked in order because all of them were mean, verbally abusive, manipulative, and disrespectful.

2. Luke Cucurullo

Luke Cuccurullo from Season 8 is on the list of the worst husbands in the show's history. The entire time he was married to Kate Sisk, he put her down every chance he got. He admitted he was disappointed when he saw her walk down the aisle. He called her "repulsive." After kissing her, he said it made him feel "dead inside." Even so, he continued being intimate with her.

3. Ryan De Nino

Ryan De Nino from Season 2 belongs on the list of worst husbands for the cruel things he said and did to Jessica Castro. He yelled at her constantly. His rage escalated to the point where threatened to kill her and her family. Jessica got a restraining order against him.

4. Matt Gwynne

Matt Gwynne from Season 9 is on the list of worst husbands. The professional basketball player disrespected his wife Amber Bowles. He admitted that he knew the marriage wouldn't work after only fifteen minutes of them saying, "I do" at the altar.

Matt constantly stayed out all night to keep from being with Amber. When he returned home, he blamed Amber for being the cause of him not c0ming home.

5. Michael Watson

Michael Watson married Meka Jones in Season 10. Michael was a pathological liar. He lied about almost everything, including teaching yoga, his income, and his travels. He lied about little things as well as the big things. For instance, he unnecessarily lied about the number of miles he had on his car.

Fans of the show posted on social media that Meka and Michael didn't have a lot in common and never should have been matched. Their personalities were completely different as well as their approaches to life. Michael's dishonesty always caused problems, and Meka had trust issues with him.

6. Zach Justice

Zach Justice rejected Mindy Shiben almost from the moment they said, “I do” in Season 10. He told his new wife on their honeymoon that he was not attracted to her. He refused to commit to the marriage, and he never moved in with Mindy.

To compensate for his disappointment in having been matched with Mindy, Zach started a relationship with Lindsay, one of Mindy's friends. Mindy divorced Zach and stopped being friends with Lindsay. Mindy and Zach decided to divorce before Decision Day.

7. Johnny Lam

Johnny Lam and Bao Huong Hoang were the first Asian couple on the reality series in Season 13. Fans spoke out about the way Johnny made hurtful comments about Bao. He told Pastor Cal that he would have preferred being matched with “literally anyone else” except for being matched with Bao. Pastor Cal actually told Johnny he was saying mean things.

Fans spoke out about the way Johnny constantly criticized his wife. He told her she was immature. He requested her to take several showers during the day. He also told her that he hates how giddy she becomes when she expressed joy. On Decision Day, Johnny said he wanted to stay married. He was shocked when Bao said she wanted a divorce because she was tired of being manipulated. Viewers let out a big sign of relief because of Bao's decision. She deserved better.

There have been many other bad husbands on Married at First Sight. In my opinion, the ones listed above were the worst.
