Supernatural 2005 - 2020

As we said goodbye to 2020, we also said goodbye to Sam and Dean. Brothers who had each other's back for life. The show gave us so many emotional rides from laughter, to tears, to anger, to hate, to love. But in the end, the story was always the same, they were family forever and ever.

Supernatural was a story about the love of 2 brothers even when they were fighting monsters everyday. Ironically they fought both types of monsters, the monsters within ourselves and those that surrounded them.

The show captured their story from the beginning, using flashbacks of them as kids and teens. They overcame so much throughout the 15yrs, from the loss of their parents, to the loss of people they loved, to almost losing each other. You always felt bad for both of them and could empathize with them in every situation. Although they were not real brothers by blood in real life, they were brothers due to their relationship offscreen.

They were friends before the show started. They live in the same area in Texas, with Jensen having his own small business. They each have 3 kids and wives that also had been seen in the Supernatural show. To me, this is what makes for a good show because the actors themselves have a connection with each other and get along so well. So many shows and movies want to be able to capture onscreen emotions between 2 characters but sometimes the chemistry is off because you are watching 2 strangers trying to be close.

Now that Supernatural is all done, we have a new story to follow for them with Jared Padalecki starring in Walker, Texas Ranger. A reboot of the 1993 TV series with Chuck Norris. I watched this show religiously just like I watched Supernatural, so I have high hopes for the CW reboot. Although, I don't think anyone can fill the shoes of Chuck Norris, I am willing to give Jared Padalecki a chance. So far he seems more like Sam than Walker, Texas Ranger. But I am sure as I continue to watch it, the show will continue to build it's story, and his personality will change.

Full synopsis and trailer below for Walker, Texas Ranger

"A reimagining of the long-running series "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Walker" follows the adventures of Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, as he returns home to Austin after being under cover for two years, only to discover there's harder work to be done at home. He must attempt to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son and his headstrong, somewhat rebellious teenage daughter and navigate clashes with his family -- an ADA brother who stepped in during Walker's absence, his perceptive mother and his traditional rancher father. Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife's death." - Google pages

As for Jensen Ackles, he is supposed to be joining the cast of The Boys, a story about not so superheroes. He will join the cast as Soldier Boy, one of the original superheroes beginning Season 3.

Full synopsis and Trailer below for The Boys.

"Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name." - Google pages.

I am looking forward to continue seeing Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki on screen, even if I will always think of them as Sam and Dean Winchester.
