Heeramandi Web Series Review: Worthless for Me

I did not enjoy seeing the message of women's empowerment forcefully pasted here. I mean, even today, women do not get a share of the property. Who told you that? I mean, under what deception are you filmmakers living? Who told you? This talk.

Heeramandi Web Series Review

So, friends, Netflix's most-awaited or much-awaited show, Heeramandi, has arrived. I finished watching it, and let me tell you my opinion on it.

The story of Heeramandi is set in the pre-independence era in the Heeramandi market of Lahore, which was famous for courtesans. Now to know what the proper story is, you will have to watch this show, which has eight episodes, and the episodes are about one hour each.

I am very happy to tell you that I got a special screening of this web series.

Heeramandi Review

Now, if I want to review the Heeramandi Web series for you in one line, I would only say that this show is average.

First of all, the looks of this show are highly appreciated, and the atmosphere created here is very good, be it art design or set design; both are top-notch. You will get to see the show completely excelling in art and craft.

Visually, the appeal of the show is brilliant. The way Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes these shows will give orgasm to every aesthetic 14 for sure.

The type with which Heeramandi has been designed, be it floors, costumes, or every scene, and the type of lighting in every frame is superb, especially in some scenes where sunlight has been used so brilliantly that there are no words to praise.

So yes, in these aspects, this show is no less than a masterpiece.

Apart from this, the cinematography is quite good, the music is brilliant, and you will get to hear all the good songs. Even melodies have been arranged here.

Without a doubt, BGM is also superb, which gives very good support to the scenes.

Actors have also done a very good job. Here, you get to see Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, and even Fardeen Khan. Apart from this, you also get to see Manisha Koirala, and Sonakshi Sinha as part of this web series.

Sanjida Sheikh, you are getting to see that overall, everyone has done their work very brilliantly.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali knows very well how to extract work from an actress, so he excels there completely.

Sonakshi Sinha has done a very good job; however, the way she takes a long pause while speaking will put you to sleep, I am sure, meaning there was no need for such long pauses.

Your show has already become so long; now how will it work if you take so much time to speak? This thing can bore you throughout the show.

One thing I liked was the way the era has been presented here in the show. From the point of view of dialect and the point of view of accent, I felt that there was a lot of detail or depth in the show.

Apart from this, the hard work that is seen in every shot clearly shows that along with spending a lot of money, good efforts were also made.

Well, these are some positive points of the show, but from the point of view of the story or screenplay, I found the show quite dull. I mean, this show is very long; so much pause has been taken in the scenes that there are no limits.

Even after this, the story shown here will not seem good or impressive from any angle.

Negative Points

To be honest, there was no strength in the story of this web series. Prostitutes have been glorified in some way.

I did not enjoy seeing the message of women's empowerment forcefully pasted here. I mean, even today, women do not get a share of the property. Who told you that? I mean, under what deception are you filmmakers living? Who told you? This talk.

These show that even today, women are fighting for their existence. Hey, what existence are you talking about? Girls have reached the moon, and then there is the tremendous patriotism these people have thrown in our mouths. What should I say to them?

I don't feel like abusing right now.

Hey, brother, there was no need to show patriotism anywhere.

How have prostitutes been living in Heeramandi for a long time? What were their compulsions? how she came into this whole business, the focus should have been on this, but no, the filmmakers had to do Inquilab Zindabad, which means they destroyed the entire plot.

If I call this show Heeran#di instead of Heeramandi, then it would be better because there is nothing else in the show.

Conclusion

Overall, the experience was not at all pleasant for me, but yes, this show is good from the point of view of art and craft, but from the point of view of story, screenplay, and what this web series is trying to convey, this show seemed completely bad to me.

In terms of parental guidance, you do not get to see any vulgarity or nude scenes in the show; yes, one or two strong languages have been used.

So this was my review of the Netflix show Heeramandi. I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to give me a heart and subscribe.
