Kyle and Summer hit a snag on 'The Young and the Restless'

Last week on The Young and the Restless, Summer found out that Kyle was still texting his ex. He asked if Lola was OK and she replied that he did not need to keep checking on her. Summer has made it clear that she does not like Kyle remaining in contact with his former wife. She believes that he should cut all ties. Kyle keeps promising that he will, but he just cannot seem to stop reaching out to Lola. A few weeks back, Theo pointed out that there were still lingering feelings between Kola. He even went so far as to say that if Lola wanted Kyle she should fight for him. She responded by saying that she did not go through with a painful divorce only to start the whole thing over again.

Theo's motives are never clear and it's likely he was not looking out for Lola. He probably is mad that she dumped him and equally upset that Summer and Kyle are together. Theo most likely is wanting to cause problems and sit back and watch the fallout. In the meantime, Kyle needs to make up his mind as to which woman he really wants. He seems to desire Summer and want Lola in his life as well. It's understandable that he feels guilty about how everything went down, but Summer deserves his full attention. Kyle offered her a jewelry box last week but she did nto open it. Fans are now wondering if the elopement is even going to happen.

When Summer first returned to Genoa City she teased Kyle and took advantage of the fact that he was in love with her. In her immaturity she slept with his uncle Billy and told Kyle about it. Once Lola was int eh pciture Summer did a complete 180. She began throwing herself at Kyle and making sure everyone knew that she wanted him back. She was confident that he loved her then, but now she does not seem as certain. Kyle keeps telling her that it's always been her but he will not cut his ties to Lola. Spoilers are teasing that perhaps the couple will not tie the knot and return to Genoa City without being married.

Earlier spoilers told Skyle fans not to worry, as the distance between the two was only because of COVID restrictions. It's difficult at this particular time to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Summer seems confused, Lola is rethinking things and Kyle cannot stop reaching out to his former spouse. When the couple returns to Genoa City, fans are wondering what the status of their relationship will be. Will they come back home as Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Abbott, or will they be single. Is the wedding still on or could they go their separate ways? Skyle fans want to believe that true love will triump in the end but things could go either way.

If earlier spoiler were correct, then this is just a bump in the road for Skyle and they will remain together. As for a wedding, it's anybody's guess and fans will have to wait and see what happens next. Celeb Dirty Laundry is suggesting that the jewelry box Kyle gave summer contrains the tear drop necklace that Jack is looking for. Other spoilers say that Dina will be reunited with her beloved piece of Jewelry and on Friday it seemed that Lauren was the one in posession of it. She told Jack that it had been packed away but CDL seems to think she won't find it.
