The Wrong Game

Movie Opening:

3 brothers playing outside; The oldest just starting high school, the middle brother in his last year of middle school, and the youngest getting ready to start middle school. So the older brothers attempt to teach the youngest brother (nerd) football but sadly he doesn’t grasp the concept of the sport and decided to walk home. Older middle school kids find the youngest alone and beat him up for his shoes, during this he fall’s and hits his head. The bullies leave him unconscious in the middle of the field. His brothers see this take place from a distance and beat up the bullies out of anger. The parents of the bullies find out but not knowing the full story and enraged they contact the police and press charges against them. The oldest bother ends up getting caught and taken to jail while the middle brother gets away after dropping his youngest brother off at the hospital with their parents. A little less than a decade goes by and while in jail the oldest brother obtains his degree in coding, so no time was wasted. After a visit from his parents with an update on the well being of his little brother he over-hears another inmate talking about this amazing game he thinks might help solve some problems. So he contacts a female friend on the outside and asks if she heard anything about the game. Unfortunately she hasn’t but said that she will look into it for him. While he try’s to make the game a few time his female friend ends up finding the parents of the bullies and explain to them the ENTIRE STORY of what happened that day based off what both older brothers told her. Now ashamed the parents collectively come together and feel as though they can not afford to apologize for lost time and end up dropping the charges against him, with a few years left on his sentence. So the oldest brother ends up getting released early and his female friend is there waiting to pick him up from jail. She smiles and jumps up to give him a hug with good news “I believe I found the game you were looking for, but there’s no player”. He smiles and hugs her back and takes the game and puts it in his pocket. So they get in the car and she starts driving him to the hospital to she his youngest brother. On their way there the physical version of game uploads to the phone she gave him to contact her if he needed anything. When he gets to the hospital the doctor explains to him that their parents kept him on life support the entire time in good faith he would one day wake up. So he sits in the room with his brain dead brother and tells him how he has this amazing idea that might work because he didn’t go to jail to loose him. “It’s not a risk if you don’t take a chance” he says while reaching into his pocket for the game. He starts to get upset then hear drums coming from the phone, he takes the phone out of his pocket as it starts glowing. “Jumunji, a game one may find to leave their world behind”. He starts smiling and locks the door after checking that it’s all clear. “This is it man, I’m going to see you real soon” plugging the phone up to the heart monitor through usb. Waiting for something to happen he looks at the monitor as it starts to glow “Beep” the game logo appears on the monitor as he starts his mad scientist laugh. He grabs his brother’s hand “I’m going to see you sooner that later” smiling he looks down at his phone and suddenly starts falling transforming from 6.8 man to 5.4 Franklin Finbar landing steadily on his feet. As his 5.7 brother falls in next to him as 6.4 Dr. Smolder Bravstone landing on his feet and falling to his knees, confused, gasping for air, and full of questions. He pat’s his youngest brother on the back and explains to him that in the real world he’s dying but this was he attempt to save him. Suddenly a Jeep pulls up “Welcome to Jumunji, if you lose you only have yourself to blame but when make it to the it call out it’s Jumuni’s name” then stops to drop them off at a beach “You can’t stand here and wish your more then just a dish because everything creature in this lake is bigger than your average fish, good luck”. They start walking as the oldest brother starts talking about what happened after his accident the youngest brother cuts him off to say out he doesn’t even really like fish especially not if their carnivorous as he still try’s to figure out what’s going on. Then they stop and see the water start to move, “There are a lot of things bigger than fish” says the youngest brother “A lot of things like Sea Lions” as the oldest brother starts running down the beach. “Do we have some type of powers or something or we’re just here running for our lives” says the youngest. “GREAT QUESTION” as the older brother looks if the backpack on his back and ends up pulling out a lasso. Extremely puzzled and running out of breath the younger brothers asks “Are they still going extinct in real life, I don’t want to hurt it” also slowing down to make sure his brother is okay the older brother yells “Then find something to distract is so we can escape” The youngest brother points to what looks like a jungle and now angry aggressively says “When we get out of here I’m not going to Sea World” as they approach the trees he tells him to get over it because sea world animals are way nicer from from another inmate told him.

Cut Scene to Reality:

After hearing about his oldest brothers release from jail the middle brother try’s to contact the woman that picked him up to interrogate her on his whereabouts. She texts him the number to his phone, since he doesn’t answer he video calls her with an attitude since his voicemail hadn’t been set up yet. She tells him how she dropped him off at the hospital to play some game with their brother. Not even thinking about the fact his youngest brother is still unconscious he starts to get angry that he wasn’t invited so he hangs up on her and goes to see if he has any games he can take up to the hospital with his based on the assumption their using a television. “His favorite game was Need for Speed Underground” grabbing the steering wheel controller from the top of his closet and rushing out to the car to head to the hospital. He arrives at the hospital to a locked door, he looks around after thinking it’s too quiet and picks the lock to sneak in to an empty room. Looking at the heart monitor as it beeps out the game logo with a rhythmic beat he also notices the phone glowing the same name connected with a usb. “They not just going to leave me out of the festivities” so he re-locks the door and plugs his controller in to the monitor to see what would happen

Scene Back to Game:

After getting through the first level the two brothers come into a volcano range, as words appear in the air “Water is a shade of blue like an aquamarine with hints of green and cools off something as hot as fire it seems mix them both up and you get with lava instead a vermillion color of orange and hints of red”. Looking around “This is a hot tectonic mess” the youngest brother says as they see Roman Pearce pulling up in two-tone satin painted McLaren. “This place may be hotter than the flu” the middle brother tells them slowly due to his character glitching “Why wasn’t I invited” he says angrily. “I don’t remember sitting in jail with you, I’m sure you were invited there” the oldest brother states laughing. then the middle brother explains no time was wasted because he started a company so the family name is all money. As he struggles to tell him all these good things while still glitching the youngest brother starts to panicking “YOUR CAR IS SINKING! GET OUT...HURRY” but he was to late car already sank. Then a hummer drives up with middle brother no longer glitching “Hop in, I think I can get us pass this, well I’m pretty sure” as he drives them through Level 2. Reaching up to the air to pull down upgrade menu for car wheels to avoid melting rubber.

Cut Scene to Reality:

Now, before the hospital stops accepting visitors, the female friend shows to pick up the older brother. She has the nurse unlock the door to an empty room of electronics. She immediately starts laughing because she’s been waiting to sue someone for anything especially for him. She tells the nurse that she has 20 minutes before she contacts all the lawyers in a 50 mile vicinity since they not only lost a patient but a visitor, 2 visitors actually as she remembers the other brother said he was on his was here earlier.

Scene Back to Game:

After getting through level 2 they get to what they believe is the last level as they end up pulling to a hard stop with * standing in the middle on the path with two black bears. “Nice vehicle, you are hard to find but I have you now” he says with his villainous smile. “He must be the villain, see if your magic backpack has anything in it” the youngest brother says to the oldest as they get out the truck. He hops out the truck too and pulls out a blow torch, they check to see if the other brother is coming but unfortunately he started glitching again. “I don’t know if I can actually get out the car... (Looking down to no legs or feet) You guys got this right” the middle brother asks. The youngest brother tests the blowtorch out and gets happy “Yea I don’t think he’s an environmentalist” the oldest brother stops him to read the words above them “Medicated purple flowers might make you a better you as long as you can remember what to do”. Yet the youngest already started blowing a flaming path to scare away the bears and fumes started to fill the air as the made their way to the top of what seemed to be a mountain. After a while of waiting the middle brother charges cars to a Lamborghini to sit lower then the trees. He drives up the path they made making them easier to find near the top in a great happy mood loitering at the end. They sit there laughing asking each other how to get out the game all they know is they need to call out someone’s name. Glitching the middle brother try’s to tell them the name of the game. “JOG IN THE STREET” they start giggling “JOCKS TAUGHT ME” they start laughing a bit harder “JUMP TO PEE” the oldest brother through a rock at the rock “And he came here with purpose” as they laugh harder “JUMUNJI”

Cut Scene to Reality:

As she happily cleans the empty hospital room while the timer is ticking and the staff continues to search for missing patient and guests. She stops to go to the bathroom to do number 1 and 2 since she’s in the room alone. She washes her hands she comes out to find both brothers and the youngest sitting up and awake. The oldest brother apologizes to her before breaking the phone “If we tell them what just happened they won’t believe us”. She tells them how technology has changed they’ve most likely been trying to make sense out of the camera footage. The youngest brother asks the oldest brother can remake a digital version of the game. The woman takes a laptop out of her bag to show them a video “You guys can do better than that you can make a virtual reality version of the game look at these headsets they came out with earlier this year. I’m going to leave my laptop here DO NOT BREAK IT before they release you”. As she goes to the front desk to say they are in the room the brothers look at each other “So are you calling Mom or what” they look at the middle brother “Wait I’m going to call dad mom might be sleep by now, I’m sure they’re pretty old at this point.” The oldest brother takes the hospital phone “No you can barely talk I’ll handle this, I’ll tell them all their sons are in one room and are all going to be rich”.
