James Patrick Stewart completes filming season one of The Villians of Valley View

James Patrick Stewart's new Disney series has arrived

There is a reason Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) and Anna Devane ) Finola Hughes have an increased presence in Port Charles lately. Stewart just wrapped up taping the first season of his Disney Channel series THE VILLAINS OF VALLEY VIEW.

When the actor first announced his new gig some Genera Hospital fans were concerned he was leaving the soap. Stewart reassured them he was sticking around and indeed he is.

THE VILLAINS OF VALLEY VIEW was created by Bryan Moore and Chris Peterson and premiered on June 3. In addition to Stewart who portrays Vic / Kraniac the cast includes Lucy Davis, (Eve/Surge) Malachi Barton, (Colby / Flashform) Isabella Pappas, (Amy/Havoc) Reed Horstmann, (Jake / Chaos) and Kayden Muller ((Janssen as Hartley).

Vic is a mad scientist who is married to electrical supervillain Eva. Their children are Amy, Jake, and Colby and they once were part of a group called the League of Villains. This group was led by the evil Onyx who passed Surge over for a promotion to Chief Commander. The job goes to Slither, and when Amy tries to get Onyx to reconsider he responds by insulting her family.

Amy attacks Onyx which results in her family going on the run. They relocate to Valley View, Texas using the alias of the Madden family. They try to maintain their ordinary lives as they attempt to keep their true identities from being found out by the superheroes, the authorities, and Onyx's minions. In the midst, they become friends with Hartley who is the granddaughter of their landlord.

Valentin is back on General Hospital

On General Hospital Anna and Valentin recently went on a date to a drive-in movie. Fans are elated they are getting closer and hope they will eventually begin a real romance. Unfortunately, Valentin is keeping a big secret from Ms. Devane. She has no idea that he was masquerading as the French soldier who framed Jennifer Smith (Holly Gagnier) for Luke Spencer's (Tony Geary) murder.

It's not clear why Valentin assisted Victor Cassadine ( Charles Shaughnessey) in framing Jennifer considering the two were not really on good terms. Now the senior Cassadine has something on his son that will surely come back to bite him and it might even ruin his relationship with Anna.

Shaughnessey was off-screen for several months due to recovering from hip surgery so his storylines have not been addressed in recent episodes. He had been using the Ice Princess to control the weather in Port Charles and for a few episodes various residents were saying it was unusually hot. it will probably be some time before the pieces fall into place for Victor and his son as they get back into the swing of things.

General Hospital fans have watched Anna and Valentin go from suspecting each other to trusting one another and his secret is going to break the trust. There is always the chance that the good citizens of Port Charles might never find out what the Cassadine father and son have been up to and they may take their bad deeds to the grave. If that happens it will not be the first time. Valentin had Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck).blown up on a boat and that issue was never addressed.
