Is Dr. James Warwick about to make an appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Will Brooke and James reunite in Rome?

The Bold and the Beautiful was recently taping scenes in Rome for a Hope for the Future fashion shoot. Online images thus far have shown Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), Annika Noelle (Hope Spencer), Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester), Jackie Wood (Steffy Finnegan) Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), and Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton) were all on hand. An unexpected surprise was a photo of Lang with former B&B actor Ian Buchanan (Dr, James Warwick) and his husband Antonio Hendricks.

It's not clear if the men simply happened to be in Italy or if Buchanan's character will make an appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful. A few weeks back when only the shadow of a mystery man was shown who was about to visit Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) some spoilers suggested it might be Dr. Warwick. It was later revealed that the man was Jack Finnegan (Ted King). Sheila had summoned him in an attempt to get him to help her but Jack refused.

Ian Buchanan was beloved as Duke Lavery

Buchanan's most notable soap role was his popular General Hospital character Duke Lavery who was murdered but came back as a ghost in 2020 to torment Julian Jerome (William deVry) when he was dying after being shot. Duke and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were a beloved super couple on the soap and fans hated to see Duke written out of the ABC series.

Dr. James Warwick is a fictional character on The Bold and the Beautiful, portrayed by Ian Buchanan from 1993-99 originally. He returned in 2004 and once again in 2008-09 and then 2011. Buchanan last returned to The Bold And The Beautiful as James Warwick in August 2017 for a short stint

Dr. James Warwick was a different character

On The Bold and the Beautiful James was a psychiatrist who had relationships with Sheila, Brooke, and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and has a daughter Mary with Sheila. When Dr. Warwick and Taylor were trapped in the snow at Big Bear cabin and thought they would die he told her a huge secret. He admitted he had never been intimate with a woman and he did not want to die a virgin. The duo hooked up even though Taylor was married to Ridge at the time. Taylor later left town and wrote Ridge a letter telling him of her infidelity and asking for his forgiveness.

When he left town he took with him the secret that he had been writing himself prescriptions because he was addicted to drugs and only Sheila knew about it. It's possible that Buchannan and Hendricks just happened upon the B&B cast as they do live in Europe. Shortly after their marriage, the duo was photographed in Amsterdam with former General Hospital cast member Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer).

What will happen in Italy?

The details of the soap taping in Rome are vague at thsi point and it's not known yet if there are more of the B&B cast who will be taping in Italy than those who were already mentioned. Fans are hoping that Ian Buchanan's presence means he might be involved even if only for a cameo appearance. Spoilers have teased romance and possible heartbreak but the cast has remained mum.

Fans should be on the lookout for updates related to what will be taking place in Rome and also news on when those episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful will air.
