Hunter King may be gone for good from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Monday's episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has had viewers talking all weekend. Online the show for June 28 has been available since Friday evening the 25. Dealing only with this episode and no rumors or spoilers it certainly seems as if Summer Newman is leaving Genoa City. She made her rounds and said goodbye to a lot of people and no one objected as viewers thought they might. Summer gave Lauren short notice that she was taking the job in Milan and even recommended Sally Spectra for her own position.

Lauren only said that it was a good opportunity and acted as if it was not a big deal. Sally was shocked that Summer suggested that she get her old position because Sally is the one who asked Eric Forrester to put in a good word for Ms. Newman. Summer has no idea that she was being manipulated by Sally and Tara as a team and numerous fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS are angry it worked out this way. Skyle was poised to become a super couple and have staying power like Victor and Nikki. The duo was supposed to marry and have a baby Newman/Abbott so this situation is very discouraging.

Everyone on Monday's episode seemed resigned that Summer was leaving except for Kyle. he was running all over Genoa City trying to find her and kept missing her until the very end. Kyle tried talking Phyllis into helping him but she only said it was time for him to let go because Summer is an adult. Meanwhile, Faith and Mariah were together when they got the news and out of earshot of her younger sister, Ms. Copeland referred to Summer as "Snowflake" and called her selfish.

When Kyle caught up to Mariah she began attacking Summer and he quickly shut her down. Victor, Nikki, and Victoria were together when they said their farewell's to Ms Newman. Summer also went to Billy and aksed him to be there for Kyle. Hunter King was crying throughout the entire episode and her tears seemed so real. It actually felt as if she was truly saying goodby to Genoa City and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS for good.

Another thing that made it all seem like the swan song for Skyle is that the theme song to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS was playing throughout It really was a pretty sad epsiode and viewers were probably crying along with Kyle and Summer. In the last scene as their hands fell apart, Kyle was left holding the engagement ring and he clearly is heartbroken. Skyle fans are not liking this because of all the couple has been through to finally get together.

At one point the dup thought they might be siblings and if Victor's father was also Jack's dad they would have been blood cousins. When Summer first returned to Genoa City she flirted with Kyle but did not take him seriously when he wa falling in love with her. She instead slept with his uncle Billy but later became jealous when Kyle fell for Lola. Summer became an organ donor for Ms. Rosales and married Kyle but he later left her and married Lola. Summer pulled out all the stops trying to win him back and she did.

The writers have had Summer turn into a shell of her former self who allowed Tara Locke and Sally Spectra to walk all over her. Now that she is gone how will anyone ever find out what took place that led to Summer leaving Genoa City. Sally is feeling pretty confident right now and even flirting with Jack again. If he finds out that she conspired with Tara aand caused his son's heartbreak Jack will deal harshly with both women. Those who watch THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS are curious about the future for Kyle.

Some fans believe that perhaps on Tuesday Summer might be shown staying in Genoa City and all of this will be resolved. Others think he might board a jet and bring her back.The role of Summer Newman has been recast before when Hunter King leaves so it's possible that if not now,this might happen in the future. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS fans find it curious that no credible stories have been reported on whether or not King is leaving the show for good.

The only thing soap fans know is that a blind item suggests that a high profile daytime actress is dissatisfied with her job and leaving. The rumor mill has teased that it could be Michell Stafford, (Phyllis or two actresses from GENERAL HOSPITAL, Laura Wright and Kelly Monaco. This will be the third week of the rumor without anything being substantiated. Surely by the end of the week if not sooner Y&R fans will know for certain if it is Hunter King so stay tuned.
