Windstream, also known as Windstream Holdings, Inc. and Windstream Communications, is one of the largest providers of telephone, Internet and email services to rural communities in the United States.

New subscribers who have created a Windstream username receive a free email address that is their Windstream username followed by @windstream.net.

For example, if your username is jane.doe, your email address will be jane.doe@windstreamnet.

Customers using pre-Windstream transition email addresses can sign in with these old email addresses (alltel.net, ctc.net, valornet.com, etc.).

How can I sign in to my Windstream email account?

  • Use a web browser or mobile app to access your Windstream email.
  • To log in, go to https://www.windstreamonline.com/pol/WinLogin.action, which is the windstream.net login page. Additionally, you can visit the Windstream site and select the Sign In option at the top of the page.
  • You may need to upgrade your version of Internet Explorer if you are having difficulty signing in to the new Windstream.net email. Click here to read more.
  • The username and password for your first Windstream email account should have been selected when your modem was installed.
  • You will then see the phrase "Use your Windstream information online" on the Windstream login screen.
  • Enter your email address or log in to Windstream. Unless you already have it. If you don't already have a username, click the "Register to access here" link and follow the steps on the screen.
  • Enter your password here.
  • To sign in to your account, click the Sign In Now button. Once connected, you can watch TV online, pay bills, and access your email inbox.

Additional Windstream Emails

You can create up to five free email addresses as a Windstream customer. You can manage your account using your primary username and email address, which also provides full administrative access to all account features. Other household members may have their own usernames and email addresses created by the primary account holder. Each email address has its own inbox.

Click the "Register for Access Here" link above the form on the login page if you have not yet registered your own Windstream administrative username. Observe the instructions on the next page.

You can start adding other usernames with their unique emails and mailboxes as soon as your Windstream administrative account is created.

To add a user, follow these guidelines:

  • Visit windstream.net
  • Select My account and support from the dropdown option.
  • the Manage my account link
  • In the Online Account Options box, enter your email address and password, then click Sign In.
  • After logging in, click on the link. Change email accounts, usernames and passwords
  • You will find a row for Add Email Address on the Username, Password, and Email Administrator screen. The New Username and New Password boxes must be filled out. The email account will be added after clicking Add.

How can I recover my forgotten Windstream username or password?

Visit the Sign In page to reset your username or password. You can retrieve your username by clicking the "Forgot username" link if you have lost it. The "Forgot Password" link can be used if you forgot your password. The green Sign In button is followed by these two links.

After selecting the link

  • Complete the User Type (choose Customer), Email Address, Account Number, and Billing Zip Code forms on the next page to retrieve your username.
  • To continue, select the green Continue button and follow the instructions on the screen.

To reset your email password:

  • Complete the answers for the first and second security questions after clicking the link. These queries are set up when you create an account.

When you have finished answering the security questions, enter your new password:

  • A new notification confirming your new password will appear on the login page after you return there. It is now possible to log into your account.

How can I recover or reset my email password?

After 180 days, accounts that have not had any Webmail, POP, or IMAP activity go into inactive status and are no longer available to end users. Please call customer service at 1(888)479–6135 to resolve this issue.

Note: You must have answered all security questions related to your account in order to recover your password.

Go directly to Manage My Account and skip to step 3 to reset your email password, or:

  • Visit www.windstream.net.
  • Select My account and support from the dropdown option.\Click on "Have trouble signing in?" link when you get to the login screen.
  • To recover your password, username or email, select the appropriate option and follow the instructions on the screen.
