We spent the entirety of last week with team green, and this week we are with team black. Rhaenyra finds out what happened in the last day and a half and she plans her subsequent actions very carefully.

Lucerys doesn’t want driftmark, he fears the responsibility and feels he will ruin everything if he takes it. Rhaenyra and Lucerys have a beautiful interaction, and she comforts him and reassures him. He truly admires his mother and they have such a sweet relationship.

“The Greens are coming for you Rhaenyra and for your children”

Rhaenys tells Rhaenyra what happened, and warns her. But she still seems indifferent towards actually helping her.

The writers are desperately trying to get us to hate Daemon, Them having him try and supersede Rhaenyra’s authority over the kings guard was out of character.

Rhaenyra’s birth scene was a bit graphic and the fact that her baby was stillborn and premature was also unnecessary. I would say that it shows us what a compassionate and kind mother she is but we already knew that, and we didn’t need a dead baby in order to hammer that point home.

Losing their child very clearly had an affect on Daemon as well, showing us once again that he is a loving father and husband.

The member of the king's guard that brought the crown to Rhaenyra made me so happy! She has support inside the kingdom; she just has to ask for it.

I think they are trying to show some conflict between Daemon and Rhaenyra I can just see something different in the direction, they want us to believe that he would turn his back on her for the throne when we know that's not even a little true.

Love that everyone by Rhaenys knelt before Rhaenyra, she is still unsure what her position is going to be but she is definitely impressed with her influence.

Daemon is taking over the strategy, he's clearly put himself in the position of a leader which honestly is fine. The idea of him organizing in order to protect his queen makes perfect sense, the tension that they are trying to create between him and Rhaenyra however does not.

Queen Rhaenyra flying over Otto’s head on her dragon fills me with unspeakable amounts of joy.

And now they're trying to use Alicent and Rhaenyra’s poorly written, underdeveloped bullshit of a friendship to sway Rhaenyra, now obviously it isn't going to work but it's just such a poor writing tool.

“I do not wish to rule over a kingdom of ash and bone”

Rhaenyra is fully, whole heartedly showing how kind of queen she is.

I love that she is just over Daemon challenging her leadership, She is so even tempered and brilliant.

“I should declare war because I am angry”

Daemon would never choke Rhaenyra, what a horrendous decision. We all still love him because we can see past GOD AWFUL writing.

Rhaenys and Corlys have a very heavy interaction, that leads to Corlys deciding that they will not declare for anyone and Rhaenys speaks for Rhaenyra. She encourages him to declare for Rhaenyra.

AND CORLYS COMES THROUGH

Rhaenys would be such a badass hand to the queen.

Rhaenyra spends this entire episode proving what an incredible queen she is, Aegon is a drunk little shit and has no business ruling anything and Rhaenyra is so smart, and kind hearted and clear headed and she genuinely wants what's best for the people of the realm.

She is so wonderful; she tells the boys to be messengers and not warriors, that they are to serve the realm and its people. She’s such a good mom, this scene with her boys is so sweet and gentle.

And Aemond and Vagar beat my little Lucerys there.

The Lord of Storm's end is trying to fight and I truly hope it costs him his life.

Luc echoes his mom’s words, when Aemond challenges him. And he is forced to fly home in an insane rain storm, Vagar and Aemond do in fact follow him and we really see just how much bigger Vagar is then the other dragons. Vagar is HUGE and Arrax still looks like a baby in comparison. Vagar kills Luc and his dragon and Aemond knows immediately that he just started the war, Rhaenyra’s restraint will not continue after the death of her son.

Well season 2 is most definitely going to start with a war, Lucerys death is going to be the catalyst for this war because there is no way Rhaenyra is just going to let that sit calmly.
