Is Emma Samms on her way out of GH?

General Hospital fans are on both sides of the love triangle that is brewing in Port Charles has everyone excited and hoping their favorite female will be the winner. This love match, however, may have been rigged from the start and the outcome is already predetermined by a foul. Emma Samm's (Holly Sutton) medical condition could be the determining factor on whether or not she remains on the soap and gets her man but fans will have to watch the situation play out to know for certain.

General Hospital viewers have watched the dynamic between Holly and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) for 4 decades. In recent months, however, the Port Charles DA has been growing closer to lawyer Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) who has told both Robert and Holly that she will not fight for his affection. Diane even told Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagoner) that she could almost like Holly. Some fans are wondering iff Samms will stick around this time but it all depends on whether or not her medical condition is improving.

When the actress returned last year she said long covid made it difficult for her to breathe, stand for a long time or walk far. Hopefully, she is recovering and the side effects are lessening but if not she won't be remaining on the soap. (NewsBreak)

Robert is torn between the two women

On Tuesday Robert attempted to get Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to make hsi decision for him and tell him which woman to choose. Anna only pointed out that he has a history with Sutton but Diane is on the right side of the law and Holly is willing to bend it when necessary. On Wednesday's preview, Robert catches Holly talking to crime boss Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and he is not pleased.

Holly's penchant for being on the wrong side of the law in addition to the medical issue Samms is dealing with might indicate that her time on General Hospital will be short. Wu is not the one to cross so Holly might be in danger and could be arrested for a crime. This connection will also give Robert pause about their relationship moving forward.

Diane won't accept Robert through a foul

Robert will question Holly about her dealings with Selina and he will be able to tell when she is not being straight with him. If he somehow finds out she gave the mob boss a jewel from the Ice Princess necklace this could be the deal breaker. If Samms still cannot stand long, or walk far and is having trouble breathing her scenes on General Hospital probably have already been wrapped up. The writers might have Holly accept that Diane is the better woman for Robert but this will not be acceptable to Diane.

DA Scorpio would have to break things off with Holly and tell her she is his past. Diane will not accept anything less than Robert declaring hsi love for her and saying he has chosen a new future with her. There is also the chance that he will end up with neither woman but Diane's fans are hoping she will get a real chance at love. She confided the way she feels about the situation to her good friend Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) so General Hospital viewers know she does care for Robert. Be on the lookout for updates and keep watching the drama in Port Charles to find out how this love triangle is resolved. Emma Samms's health issues aside, perhaps it's just time for Robert and Holly to be a memory from the past.
