Guthlee Ladoo Movie Review

Hey folks, let's talk about the hidden gems that often slip through the cracks in the world of cinema. You know, those small-budget films that struggle to grab the spotlight in theaters dominated by big-name stars and action-packed blockbusters.

Now, we've all seen how these underappreciated gems find their true home on OTT platforms, where they can shine and connect with audiences who appreciate quality storytelling. But let me share something that caught me off guard: the movie "Guthlee Ladoo." It landed on Amazon Prime, and I expected the usual buzz that follows good content. However, it seems like this one didn't quite get the attention it deserves.

As a movie lover, it's my duty to bring attention to noteworthy films, and "Guthlee Ladoo" definitely falls into that category. Let's dive into why this film might be flying under the radar and whether it's a hidden treat waiting to be discovered. Stick around for the ride as we explore the untold story of "Guthlee Ladoo."

Story

Imagine a world where a little kid named Guthlee dreams of going to school, but the odds are stacked against him because of where he comes from. It's a classic tale of an underdog fighting against the system.

"Guthlee Ladoo" takes you on this heartwarming journey, showcasing Guthlee's struggle to break through the barriers that society throws at him. Will he overcome the odds and pursue his education? That's the burning question at the heart of this film, now streaming on Amazon Prime.

What's cool is that this movie won't take up too much of your time—it's just an hour and forty-two minutes long. But let me tell you, the impact it packs into that short duration is nothing short of powerful. So, grab some popcorn, get comfy, and join Guthlee on his inspiring quest.

Guthlee Ladoo Review

This movie is seriously underrated. Sure, it's not perfect, and there are a few flaws, but let me tell you, it leaves a mark. It dives into a topic we often think doesn't exist anymore—the whole upper caste versus lower caste issue. Surprisingly, in the hustle and bustle of big cities or tier-two towns, we might not see it much. But guess what? It's very much alive and kicking in the quiet corners of small villages, where progress hasn't caught up yet. This movie sheds light on a reality that's still lingering in the shadows, and that, my friend, is something worth acknowledging.

I have seen and felt this thing myself: that there are many such villages where if you go to someone's house to drink water, then before giving you water, they will ask what your caste is. This is a part of our society.

The type of social discrimination that you will see in this movie is still going on in small villages. In some places, all the scenes are such that they will make you cry.

Picture this: there's a powerful scene in the movie where a person, knee-deep in the challenging task of cleaning a gutter, accidentally brushes against someone else's bicycle. What happens next is shocking: the owner of the bike flips out, all because the person doing the cleaning belongs to a lower caste.

Now, brace yourself for a twist. In another moment, when the lower-caste individual pulls money out of his pocket to give, the other person gladly accepts it without any hesitation. It's a stark contrast that hits hard, showing us that, when it comes to money, discrimination seems to take a back seat.

But here's where the movie truly shines: there are scenes that tug at your heartstrings, bringing tears to your eyes. The emotional rollercoaster peaks when a child delivers a speech that becomes the soul of the entire film. It's moments like these that make you sit up and truly feel the impact.

Along with the content, the dialogues are also good. I don't understand the meaning of this film as to why such meaningful films don't get the audience. Actually, the meaning of cinema is that a good message should be presented in front of the viewers so that society improves.

The actors have no doubt done a very good job, especially the actor playing the character of Guthlee and Sanjay Mishra, who is also a part of this film, who, as always, was successful in impressing through his acting skills.

Drawback

So see, lower caste has been talked about here, but there was no mention in the entire movie about those who fought for their rights, i.e., Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. I guess Pankaj Mishra should have mentioned him somewhere. And there was a lack of detailing at some places. I think this topic should have been presented in a sensitive way.

The climax of this movie is cool; I mean, impactful things should have been done there rather than being done quickly.

Conclusion

All in all, if you don't have anything worth watching this week, then definitely try this movie. This movie is available on Amazon Prime.

This movie is completely clean; it has nothing to do with vulgarity; you can enjoy it with family. So guys, this was my review, and I hope you enjoy it.
