George Russo joins the General Hospital cast as Carmine Cerullo

Brook Lynn's grandfather comes to Port Charles

George Russo will join the cast of General Hospital in May as Carmine Cerullo, the grandfather of Brooke Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). This suggests that in May BLQ and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will finally tie the knot. Viewers have already met Lois Cerullo's (Rena Sofer) mother, Gloria,who is portrayed by Ellen Travolta, John Travolta's older sister.

While some fans are overjoyed at the time and attention given to the upcoming nuptials, others say they are annoyed at this storyline and wish it were over. One GH fan stated she was tired of so much time and focus on the wedding and the dress when the couple will probably not remain together much longer than a year. Others have said Lois is over the top with her Brooklyn accent and mannerisms which appear stereotypical. The return of Gloria and now Carmine might bring even more Brokklyn style.

George Russo has had a long career

There is nothing about Russo's personal life such as the year and location of his birth or where he went to school. There is no info regarding whether he is or has been married or has children. There is much however related to his acting career.

Russo’s career stretches back to the late ‘80s and he has appeared in television series like NYPD BLUE, GHOST WHISPERER, SHAMELESS, and WINNING TIME: THE RISE OF THE LAKERS DYNASTY. Most recently the actor could be seen in the Paramount+ mini-series THE OFFER.

Among his many credits he was in the short film Two Cents and Footlong and the television movie Kensington. He has also appeared in True Love, Last Sunday Morning, Stripteaser, My Brother Jack, The Handler, Dead and Nowhere, and Ghost Whisperer.

How will Carmine interact with everyone

Will Carmine show up in Port Charles giving as much sass as Gloria and Lois or will he get into it with his wife and or daughter over disagreements. How will Brooke Lynn react to her grandfather and what will he think of Chase. Can this wedding go off without a hitch or will the Brooklyn gang cause trouble. How does Carmine feel about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and is he fond of Lois Quartermaine ( Lisa LoCicero)?

Chase and Brooklyn may not have a hot and heavy honeymoon

Not long ago, Amanda Setton was out with her husband, and wearing a beautiful dress that covered her from her neck to her toes. The rumor mill suggests the actress does not like showing a lot of skin and says she requested no extreme love scenes between her character and Chase. If this is true, it would explain why the couple are not shown in romantic situations like others on General Hospital.

For a while, BLQ was only seen in dark colors and loose jackets. Some fans assumed Setton had not lost the weight from giving birth to her second child. If it's true that the3 actress likes to remain prim and proper fans will wonder what gives her so much say-so over the preferences of the GH executives or other actors on the show.
