GENERAL HOSPITAL fans are curious as to which Port Charles woman will be linked romantically to Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt the new Quartermaine in town. Spoilers initially said that the man who was revealed to be Jimmy Lee Holt's son would become romantically involved with Maxi Jones. The rumor mill suggested that delivering Maxi's baby would bond the two but they are in different corners with completely different agenda's in Port Charles. Maxi does not want anything to do with Austin right now because she is trying to hide the fact that Bailey is really Louise. She is afraid that close proximity with him might endanger her daughter.

Maxi wants distance between herself and Austin.

After Dr. Holt had exchanges with Sam, Britt, and Carly each of these women were reported to be possible romantic interests but none of them has shown the slightest interest in Austin. Britt is crying over Jason and sleeping with Jax, Carly is about to marry Jason and viewers know Sonny will eventually return home. Sam still cares for her ex husband but is developing feelings for Dante who will only leave her if Lulu recovers.

There are also rumors that when Cameron Mathison shows up as Drew Cain that he and Sam will get together. Right now as his true identity is coming to light Austin might not be interested in romance. He may simply work at the hospital and be a thorn in the side of the Q's. The Quartermaines are intrigued by his back story but are still circling the wagons and distrustful of the doctor and his lawyer Scott Baldwin.

Sam's emotions are all over the place

Monica, Ned, Olivia, Michael, Brooke Lynn, and Valentin were all in awe that this country doctor turned out to be a grandson of Edward Quartermaine. Scott believes he has a case and can contest Edward's will which excluded Austin's father from obtaining and shares of ELQ. Valentin smiled and seemed impressed with the new family member because it meant his reign as CEO is not over.

Brooke Lynn will be in panic mode because if her grandfather's will is overturned all of her efforts will have been in vain. If the stock shares are redistributed and Austin has voting rights he could decide he wants Valentin to stay in charge of the family business. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are happy to see action in the Q mansion again but there will never be the same kind of action that took place when Tracy, Alan, and Edward were around.

As all of this is sorted out fans will be enjoying Roger Howarth's new character and eager to find out which Port Charles female he will eventually date. Ava flirted with him at the Metro Court but that was only because she had been drinking and besides her heart belongs to Nikolas Cassadine. Some GENERAL HOSPITAL fans had thought that Liz and Austin might get together because of his resemblance to Franco.

Jimmy Lee Holt and Blackie, Austin, Edward and Michael.

No one has even mentioned this so obviously Dr. Holt is a character all on his own and not supposed to look like Elizabeth Weber's former husband. In addition, it seems that Liz and Dr. Finn are getting close. Austin is not in the same setting as Jordan or Portia and nurse Amy Driscol is not on screen enough to be involved in a long time relationship. Since he is new in town perhaps he will bond with Nina when her deception unfolds and not judge her as others are going to do.

The only other single female is Dr. Terry Randolph but she is focused on obtaining the chief of staff position. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers will have to watch and wait to see what develops. Who knows, maybe Olivia and Austin might get together as she only married into the family. Be on the lookout for updates as the real agenda of Austin Gatlin Holt unfolds in Port Charles.
