Dante and Sam?

Spoilers for General Hospital are suggesting a scenario for romance that fans are probably not going to like it. The teaser is for Dante and Sam who seem like an unlikely pairing. Many fans have expressed on social media that they did not like the fact that Dante Falconeri returned to Port Charles only for Lulu to end up in a coma. Viewers were expecting Dustin to bow out gracefully and Lante to reunite. Instead, Mr. Phillips died in the explosion and Lulu is now unresponsive.

This was especially troubling as she was mouthing the words "I love you" to him before she collapsed. The former detective told his ex-wife that he would wait for her but spoilers continue to suggest women he might have a romance with. Last week it was teased that Maxie and her best friend's husband might become involved once Peter August was dealt with. Now Soaps.com is implying that Dante and Sam might find their way to each other. They do look as if they would make a great couple but what is the likelihood that this would happen?

The spoiler says that on Monday, January 11, Jason will be meeting with Brando while Sam bonds with Dante. There were question marks at the end of the sentence as if Soaps.com was asking the question rather than presenting the information. Both Sam and Dante are vulnerable right now and it would not be a stretch for them to at least lean on each other. She is alone with her children without Jason and he is raising Rocko without Lulu. Although there is no blood between them, Dante and Sam do have a family connection. They have a bond because of Carly, Jason, and Sonny but are not so close that a relationship between them could not occur.

Spoilers have also suggested that Sam might have a fling with Brando now that Jason has moved out. There were also rumors that Maxie might fall for Mike Corbin's nephew once Peter is apprehended. It's clear at this time that Dante and Sam are still in love with Lulu and Jason respectively. If something develops for any of those mentioned it will probably be down the road. Right now everyone is on edge and Dante is being controlled by Obrecht with the click of a pen. Sonny is missing and Cyrus is still out of control so this is not a time for anyone in Port Charles who is connected to be seeking new love and romance. Life goes on so you never know.

It does appear, however, that many of the spoilers are grasping at straws and projecting rather than giving credible news from reliable sources. Sam has her hands full right now trying to get help for Alexis who is spiraling out of control with her drinking. Dante is dealing with PTSD and mind control all the while trying to raise Rocko as a single dad and wondering about the safety of his own father. Celeb Dirty Laundry says that on Friday Sam and Peter August will have some type of altercation. Peter is rattled because Franco is hearing his voice in his head as Drew's memories come back.

Dante is on his own now and no longer working for the PCPD. There is a chance, although small that he might decide to work along with Jason in order to find his father and bring him back home. There is no clear idea at this time as to what Sam is thinking romantically as her heart still belongs to Jason. Once Cyrus is dealt with she might change her mind and get back together with her ex-husband. There is a slim chance that she might have a fling with either Brando or Dante but fans know it will not last. Spoilers also suggested that Jason and Britt might hookup but so far that has not happened.Be sure to stay tuned to GeneralHospital and find out what life has in store for Sam ad Dante.
