General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Ashford has troubles waiting when he recovers

Donnell Turner's dream came true with General Hospital

For some people dreams really do come true as is the case with Donnell Turner who is taking General Hospital by storm, as Curtis Ashford. He is living out a childhood dream and being rewarded for his patience. The actor said he watched the ABC soap as a child and decided one day that he wanted to be part of the cast. It took a while but he auditioned and eventually made it happen. His character Curtis has evolved over the years and his family has grown. He also has fans who love him and those who do not like his recent decisions.

Curtis is now like the other main characters on the soap who have lots of baggage and family drama. He divorced his first wife Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) because she kept work related secrets from him and he is now sleeping in separate bedrooms from his current wife Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) after finding out that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) who is almost 20 is his biological daughter. He thought his dad Marshall Ashford (Robert Gosset) was deceased only to have him show up in Port Charles which meant his Aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) had been lying to him.

Curtis has a lot to sort through

Curtis has had to do a lot of forgiving but has not yet gotten to that point with Portia. His family will also have to forgive him when some of his recent actions come to light. He is allowing mob boss Selina WU (Lydia Look) to host poker games in the back room of his establishment The Savoy so he has secrets in his life just like everyone else in Port Charles. Neither Portia nor Jordan will approve of that and Marshal and Stella will also be stunned.

Curtis was recently shot in the back while at the Metro Court pool adn is fighting for his life. He lost a lot of blood and the bullet is close to his spine so he could be paralyzed. Right now everyone is playing nice and even Portia, and Jordan are getting along. When Curtis comes out of this he will still have to decide which woman he really loves. He said he did not care about Jordan sleeping with his brother-in-law Zeke Robinson but was Curtis being honest?

What happens when Curtis wakes up?

When he comes out of this medical crisis will Curtis, Portia and Trina come together as a family or will he realize he loves Jordan each time he sees her with Zeke. Curtis is close with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Drew Cain ( Cameron Matheson) and has extended family with his nephew TJ Ashford (Taj Bellow) and those connected to him. There is still a lot of story to be told with Donnell Turner's character so he probably is not going to die.

Who will run the Savoy while he recovers and will Selina attempt to take over? Will the shooting cause Jordan to realize she still loves her ex husband and could he come through the surgery calling for his former spouse rather than his current one. If he ends up paralyzed this puts a different spin on everything. Zeke couod find Jordan still cares to much and Stella and Marshall will go out of their way to try to make things right. Lies and secrets, misinformation and deception suround Ashford which makes for a great soap opera character.
