General Hospital: Brick is in hiding

Since the return of Sonny Corinthos) Maurice Benard and the exit of Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) on General Hospital there is one character who should have been in the loop but has not been seen. This would be Brick (Stephen A Smith) who was instrumental in helping Jason escape from Port Charles and go on the run with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) told Brick to go into hiding after he shot and killed the assassin that was sent to take out Jason.

This is old news and now that Sonny has taken over his territory again. It should be safe for Brick to return as no one is actively looking for the gunman in the crime. There is not even an active search to find out who planted the bomb that killed the two mob bosses after Jason and Carly's wedding. With all the drama going on in Port Charles fans possibly had forgotten all about the man with the one name. When asked about his character Smith once said that he liked not having a last name it up and enjoyed being "Just Brick." He said it put him in the ranks of Cher and Prince.

Stephen A Smith haws COVID

Smith recently announced that he is recovering from COVID 19 in the midst of an upswing in cases to 140,000 a day in the United States and also an increase among those in the NBA. The ESPN sportscaster said he had received his first two immunizations but had not gotten around to taking the booster. He also made the following statement :

"I'm feeling fine. Mild symptoms,” Smith said while working remotely Tuesday. “Thank God I was vaccinated. Thank God I got the Pfizer vaccine, two shots a few months ago.”

General Hospital COVID controversy

This also comes in the midst of the controversy surrounding Burton and Ingo Rademacher who were fired from General Hospital for refusing the COVID vaccine. Burton admitted to catching COVID from someone on the GH set but says for religious reasons he did not desire to get the shot. The actor said he would love to return to the ABC soap at some point but his castmember is going in a different direction.

Rademacher is now suing ABC for violating his rights as he considers mandating the vaccine to be unconstitutional. No one believes he can win again the parent company Disney but he obviously desires to make a point.. Best of luck to Stephen A Smith in his COVID recovery and may he soon return to General Hospital.

Brick could stir things up in Port Charles

Fans have been wondering who will now be Sonny's right-hand man due to Jason being presumed dead. Some have suggested Drew Cain (Cameron Matthesin) but spoilers have teased that Drew might end up having an affair with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Once Carly finds out about Sonny and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Nixon Falls she is going to turn to Jason's twin for moral support and perhaps something more.

Brick has always had a crush on Carly and Sonny knows it. He laughs about it but what it things took a serious turn? It would be quite interesting if Smith's character returns to Port Charles and he ends up being the man Carly reaches out to. Smith did not say anything about when he will be back on General Hospital but fans always welcome him when he does show up. Be on the lookout for updates and breaking news related to Stephen A Smith and his character Brick.
