Brando may be Sonny's ally or his enemy

On General Hospital, Brando Corbin has been a man of mystery ever since he came to Genoa City. He just happened to show up at the precise moment when the warehouse shootout began and saved Carly. Sonny showed his appreciation by setting him up with his own auto repair business. Now, however, it's not clear whether the son of cousin Gladys is a friend or foe of the Corinthos family. On Thursday, after Brando worked on Jason's bike, it crashed. Later Cyrus Renault and his henchman were toasting to the fact that Jason was out of commission.

The drug kingpin said there was now nothing standing in their way to keep them from putting a bullet in Sonny's head. It's clear that he never meant to honor the truce. At the hospital, Sonny brought up the fact to his cousin, that he had just worked on Jason's motorcycle. Brando just stood there with a strange look on his face. This does not indicate his guilt or innocence, but the circumstantial evidence is beginning to mount. Spoilers from Soap Dirt indicate that next week, Sam is going to ask Mr. Corbin what he did to her former husband's bike.

Detective Chase was sent a text of a crime scene photo of a trail of liquid leaking from Jason's motorcycle. This makes it crystal clear that the bike had been tampered with. Surely Brando would not have been so obvious with his actions, but perhaps Cyrus is forcing his hand. Young Mr. Corbin had such a beautiful heart to heart talk with Sonny regarding a memory of Mike, from his youth. He seemed sincerely concerned for his older relative and this makes it difficult to believe he sabotaged Jason. Cyrus has been to visit him several times, but they have not said anything incriminating in their talks.

This has viewers wondering if the Sonny's new relation is a smooth operator who has been hiding his true agenda or being set up to take the fall. Viewers are debating whether or not Brando is guilty and working with Cyrus if he is just the scapegoat or it;s all a coincidence. This situation gets more convoluted because it looks like Jordan is going to pretend to be a bad cop and work with Mr. Renault in order to protect her family. She and Jason had a plan but now he will be recuperating from the accident. Jason hit the pavement without his helmet so he may have brain damage including amnesia.

General Hospital fans have been down this road with Mr. Morgan several times in the past. It would seem the writers could come up with something new and different. The timing of Carly obtaining power of attorney is suspect, but it's unlikely that Jason will die. He is a key player in Port Charles and Steve Burton is a fan favorite. General Hospital devotees are already preparing to watch a tearful goodbye between Mike and Sonny and spoilers suggest this will be emotional as well as a tearjerker.

Surely the writers would not kill off Jason at such a pivotal point in the storyline. Cyrus Renault is the interloper so he will most likely be eliminated at some future date. In the midst, Brando's purpose for being in Port Charles is still in question. He could be completely innocent, and the writers just stringing the viewers along for effect, or he may have been working for Cyrus all along. Be sure to tune in to General Hospital next week to find out how all of this turns out. Jordan needs a plan in motion right away or Cyrus will end up running the hospital. Maybe Brando will turn out to be a good guy and help put Cyrus behind bars where he belongs.
