General Hospital fans want Julian back

Julian Jerome died near the end of 2020 on General Hospital and loyal fans have been distraught ever since. His portrayer, William deVry tried to prepare his fans through Twitter posts that he was not going to return. Even when the show set things up for viewers to know that the character was most sincerely dead, it was difficult to believe. Many of those who watch the ABC soap had come to love this multifaceted man and the relationship he had with his sister Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).

Julexis fans desired to see Julian reconnect with Alexis Davis because their love scenes sizzled on the screen. No one could understand why the couple broke up or why the powers that be decided to kill Julian off. There had been an earlier issue with deVry's contract where his character was sent to Pentonville and he was not on screen for about 2 years. His followers were delighted when he returned but things were never the same.

William deVry's followers continue to support him

deVry once said "Never say never" but later indicated that Julian would not be coming back to Port Charles. In the above link you can read how the show dismantled him until there was no way for anyone to believe he had survived. The actor is a Canadian and recently celebrated 13 years with his girlfriend actress Rebecca Straub.

General Hospital fans are saying that Port Charles is a mess right now and needs Julian to return. There is also the fact that Jerome has a young son with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) that he does not know about. The little boy's name is Andy, presumably for Andrew "Drew" Cain (Cameron Mattheson) who recently returned to town after being declared dead.

There are a number of Port Charles residents currently on screen who at one point were considered to be deceased. This is why fans of deVry believe that he too could return someday. Perhaps this is why the little boy was shown as a tease to the viewers. Articles are popping up all over the Internet regarding a possible return by deVry and some General Hospital viewers have suggested a petition. Several soap spoilers have taken up the charge and are emphasizing that GH fans want to see deVry back on the screen.

General Hospital needs to bring Julian back

In a recent interview, the actor said he would love to return short-term to the ABC soap just to clean up his character. The soap vet has had roles on All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and The Bold and the Beautiful, He said that if DOOL or B&B called he's not sure he could answer. The actor admitted that he was stunned by his dismissal and wondered why the powers that be did not develop his character and redeem him as they had other Port Charles residents.

Thanks to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) Julian took the fall for the bomb at The Floating Rib which led to the deaths of Dev Cervi, and Dustin Phillips, (Mark and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan)having brain damage and being in a coma. This makes two holiday seasons in a row that General Hospital had had tragedy and now Luke Spencer has died in a fiery cable car crash.

deVry said in his interview what many of his followers have been saying all along. Julian behind the bar running a pub, was not a good idea. Viewers also were not feeling his relationship with Kim Nero who called him Charlie. The chemistry between Julexis was dynamite and the writers missed a golden opportunity when they did not reunite the couple. Be on the lookout for updates related to a possible Julian return to General Hospi8tal.
