General Hospital fans are stunned that Brooke Ann Smith is portraying Molly

A new Molly again on GH

Haley Pulos had been portraying Molly Lancing Davis on General Hospital since 2009 but after personal troubles she was temporarily replaced by Holiday Kriegal after she was involved in an auto accident in April. Pulos was convicted of DUI and felony hit and run and GH fans have been wondering if she would return to the role. After hearing that Pulos was looking at up to 6 years in prison viewers accepted that Kriegal would take on the role permanently.

Pulos is a fan favorite and viewers are sorry for her troubles but must be realistic about the possibility of her not returning. In addition to the actress spending time in prison, there is the possibility that General Hospital may decide not to rehire her. In the meantime, General Hospital fans were stunned on the Monday, July 19th episode when it was announced that Brooke Ann Smith was now taking over the role of Molly.

The action in Port Charles will go on

After only about 2 months of portraying Molly, it seems Kreigal is now out. There has been no type of notification indicating that she is sick or that she will soon be back so fans are wondering what is going on. The daughter of Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Rick Lancing (Rick Hearst), and her portrayers are causing drama on screen and off.

One thing that is certain is that the action in Port Charles will continue because Molly is in a front burner storyline at this time. Her sister Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) is plucking her last nerve by wanting to be a surrogate. Will Brooke Ann Smith stay or will she go?

GH has released no official statement regarding the casting change so it's not clear if Kriegal will return or not. At this point most fans of General Hospital feel certain that Pulos will serve time for driving under the influence, causing an accident, and leaving the scene of the crime. Molly is in the middle of an infertility crisis and the changing face of the character is distracting for viewers.

TJ Ashford (Taj Bellow) is trying to be supportive but Molly is causing friction because everyone is trying to fix her situation.
