First Time Watching Bring It On Again
It was considered the "worst cheerleader teen film"
This film is set on college cheerleading except the original cast of Bring It On isn't on the sequel.
The movie opens with Whittier, a young blondie (played by Anne Judson-Yager) auditioning for the college cheerleading team until a dark hidden man who was watching her audition said "She sucked" and anonyms people started throwing food at her but it was all a dream until she woke up at California State College where her parents are dropping her off. She's at the campus trying to find her dormitory until she finds her friend Monica (played by Faune A. Chambers). Then, the Dean of CSU tells all the freshmen at the campus that half of the extracurricular activities have been cut due to budget cuts except for the football team and the cheerleading team. We meet the head cheerleader blondie Tina (played by Bree Turner) and her squad the Stingers. Tina looks high maintenance and conservative even their cheer move was too conservative. At the tryout, Tina was being so rude and domineering, some did cheesily and some did interesting. Monica and Whittier's tryouts caught the eye of Tina. The two made it into the squad. Before they made it, the Dean urge Tina to be hardcore on the team. Whittier meets Derek at the orientation but he doesn't seem the attractive type nor the type that goes to college. The two love birds sneak out of the campus to the pool diving in and started kissing ....and they just met. While they were on the squad, Tina was being too bossy and too much towards the squad, especially to the freshmen who were on the squad. Tina and Whittier have a conversation at her office about her having a chance to be the head cheerleader and want her to take total control of the team. Pretty much a control freak!
At the end of the cheer routine of the homecoming game on national tv, Whittier sticks her tongue at the camera. At Tina's party, it got so slow and boring with the characters including the wack football players dissing Whittier's boyfriend. Tina even urges Whittier to dump Derek. At practice, Tina was harsh towards Monica pushing her on the backhand spring causing her to get hurt. Whittier and Monica both quit the team and decided to start their own team. At the audition tryout, we see Jerry Trainor from Drake and Josh and iCarly playing as trying out for the squad. Then in the next scene, we see the students from the extracurricular activities protesting after the Dean. Monica and Whittier decide to bring the Clubs together to be a part of their squad so they can get the cash prize for their clubs. They agreed to it. It started out lousy and bad then it got somewhat better. Some parts bored me until Whittier and Tina compete their teams against each other in order for one of the teams to compete in the Nationals. In the end, Whittier wins and competes in the Nationals and then Marni throws a raging crazy fit in the fit.
Before I watched this film, critics and audiences who had watched this film had bashed and even called it the "worst cheerleading teen film". Honestly, the audience and critics didn't lie. The film was unfunny and uninteresting, especially the whole cheer routine. The film could have worked on more humor on the film to make the sequel. Honestly, they should have brought the former cast of Bring It On to make it better. Tina was being too much and hardcore towards the team and it makes me hate the movie. Honestly, I am not really surprised that her character is too conservative with the way she looks.
